Ditto. Watched the granny in 04 with a Port mate (not a ******** like most bay 13 Port supporters) and found myself going for Port. SA team winning a national comp. was the factor.
Wouldn't mind betting that Toots hoped like hell Adelaide lost in 97 and 98 tho. Well Toots? Are you a hypocrite?

My biggest concern with Port winning the GF is that us Crows supporters aren't going to be able to use this witty response any more - 2 > 1

So for that reason, and that reason only, I cannot bury the hatchet. That fantastically original response is far too important to me to even consider what may be best for South Australia.

Come on Crows, now that your season's over it's time for us to bury the hatchett until next year. Let's forget about the unfortunate things that have been said and work together to bring pride to our state.
Any Crows who wish to become honourary supporters of one of this country's great sporting clubs will be welcome. We'll understand that you're just doing it for the honour of our great state. We'll understand that at the end of Port's 2007 campaign you'll want to get back to supporting your own team. No need to come over to Melbourne for the GF if we get that far, but knowing that you're there for us in spirit would be a boost.

Similarly I would like the power to win...but not because of Toots ...one of the constant barb throwers at the Crows. Unfortunately there are many who remember crap being heaped on The Crows by Power supporters (including Rooch) and won't be going to the Prelim because of it. I think the crowd will be another disaster...about 28000.
Pretty Apathetic about AFL finals now...No Crows and No Lions....If Hawthorn wins I will be happy...Always better to lose to the Champion, a la Australia V Italy in World Cup...
