No flag warranted. Did you actually SEE that DHB actually hit his HEAD EXTREMELY HARD on the turf?? why should the defender cop a 20k fine on accidental back luck?
He was knocked out as soon as he was hit by the Steelers defender

Seeing as Dagless posted the serious answer, all I have to say to this homer-ific post is:

Lang says Packers discussed extreme measures on flight home

The Packers weren’t happy about the outcome of last night’s game against the Seahawks.

How happy weren’t they?

Offensive lineman T.J. Lang told 97.1 The Ticket in Detroit on Tuesday that, during the flight home from Seattle, the players discussed the possibility of going on strike — or simply taking a knee on every offensive snap — until the lockout of the officials ends.

“Whatever it takes, it’s just a total embarrassment to everybody watching the game, the players in the game, it’s not fun to be part of something like that,” Lang told the Valenti & Foster show. “If it keeps going on, it’s going to get ugly. . . . Going into a game worrying about the refs more than the other team, it’s a problem. The NFL, the Commissioner, if they don’t take action after last night. . . . That should be the last straw.”

Lang said he regrets using profanity to express himself on Twitter after the game, but that he believes more people should speak up.

“We were furious, man, as soon as we got into the locker room we turned the TVs on, it was just heartbreaking to have the game taken from us like that,” Lang said, confirming that roughly 20 players were throwing things at the monitor. “We put too much effort, blood, sweat and tears into this game to have it taken from us. . . .

“It was kind of embarrassing to be part of it, everybody was furious, a lot of guys are trying to take the high road, but it’s hard to do when there’s that much emotion into one game. To have the win actually stolen from you? It’s frustrating.”

With no indication that the league has any extra urgency to resolve the lockout, maybe the time for extreme measures from the players is coming. Their union has done plenty of talking, but has taken no action. If the time for action hasn’t arrived, it never will.

John Lynch says NFL “duped” FOX into going easy on replacements

The ultimate reality show just got even more real.

FOX’s John Lynch, a hard-hitting safety who now serves as a color analyst for Sunday afternoon broadcasts, explained on Wednesday’s edition of The Dan Patrick Show that the league fooled FOX into thinking that a deal with the locked-out officials was imminent before the regular-season began.

Per Lynch, the NFL called FOX before the season started and said, ‘We’re close to a deal, so take it easy on these guys.”

With no deal done nearly three weeks later, Lynch has drawn a strong conclusion: “They duped us.”

Lynch also complained about the folks who aren’t getting nearly enough blame for this situation — the people who own the teams. “The other night I went to bed angry,” Lynch said. “It just speaks to the arrogance of the owners.”

While some will wonder whether the league office will play the Playmakers card on FOX in response to Lynch’s remarks, the truth is that all major network deals extend into the next decade. Besides, at some point the networks have every right and reason to complain about paying billions for a product that is undermined by bargain-basement officiating.

For FOX and CBS, the length of the games becomes a major problem because too many of the 1:00 p.m. ET games are extending into the doubleheader window, even though this year the kickoff for the late games was nudged to 4:25 p.m. ET.

Still, it’s significant for Lynch to claim that the league lied to a supposed partner. And it’ll be interesting to see whether other employees of FOX and other networks join the chorus on this one.

But the real issue for them are the late games, which now trundle on close to 8 PM with the 4.25 start. This essentially wipes out the 7 o'clock Sunday hour for CBS, which used to be the slot for 60 Minutes. I think they are delaying it now, so that it runs in its entirety on the east coast, but it still messes with Sunday evening programming. Mind you, they will both lose out to NBC with Sunday night Football, so why bother?

ausbacker

Just listened to the podcast Skip was asked if the Sea-GB game call was the worst he ever seen, he said no and the Tuck Rule game was. Skip claims Al told him after the super bowl that his sources say the refs were on the phone with the commissioner during the review and he said to rule against Oakland.

I always love the story about Amy Trask when that call was going down. How she was physically threatening the NFL exec in the owners box. Literally screaming at the top of her lungs.

Al may be gone, but he left his best qualities and lives on thru Amy. I’ll always take comfort in knowing she is with the org.

No other team in the league even has a clue or cares about the crap we’ve had to put up with over the years. The Saints fans got it this year. But they have no idea what it is like to have to deal with it for decades on end.

Bingo! It was the commish.
=========================================

I have told this story many times. If you remember that game it was supposed to be a snow storm later in the evening. The Raiders won the opening toss and Gruden wisely elected to take the ball knowing points would be at a premium especially with a major snow storm coming.

On their opening possession, The Raiders methodically drove to midfield where on a 3rd and 6 Gannon threw an easy down and out to Tim Brown for 7 yards and an easy lst down. The refs moved Brown back to where he was thrown OB, and did not give him his forward progress. Everyone went nuts. Gruden wisely challenged the call, and the refs moved the ball up, but still marked it well short of the lst down marker, and forced the Raiders to punt. It was incredible. That play bothered me more than the tuck because we all knew the fix was in.

After the game in the locker room Gruden told the team, “they are not going to allow you to win here”. It was the last game he ever coached for the Raiders.

Seriously, it was over 10 years ago.
Right call or not, it was at worst, debatably correct, just get over it.
lol yeah, not getting all this Pats deserved to be hosed because of the tuck rule talk. Umm the tuck rule was an actual rule!!!

So is the simultaneous catch rule ;)
I still see it as payback for the Ben Dreith call on Ray "the sugar bear" Hamilton rouging the passer call when there was no contact made in the 76 playoffs :D

Doesn't make the call or review right.

Remember it was ruled a fumble and it was only reviewed because the call came upstairs, they then overturned.

It'd be like green bay ruled an interception and then the call.came down and they overturned awarded the win to Seattle.

Imagine how much worse that would've been if it happened that way.....and....a playoff game!

That was a playoff game with proper refs too not some week 3 bs game with scrubs

Also it was a fumble, they looked for something to overturn it, unlike an endzone situation involving a score which is obvious to review

It's not like that at all, no-one other than Golden Tate and Pete Carroll are going to argue that was a TD, according to a bad rule, it's very easy to argue the tuck rule. The rule was changed at the end of the season, but at the time, it's a legitimate call

Kinda shocked actually.
Looks like the NFLRA caved in, rather than the other way round.

EDIT: Then I see that article by Primetime and I'm wrong. I guess the real refs are back now though.

Thanx for posting GG... I read what you posted a week ago... clueless owners are much at fault for this league allowing a slow dumbwitted commissioner lose control. You just know the Packers will be on the receiving end of '50/50 calls' from now on... you'll see. There is a balance and that comes with integrity turning the blind eye. ;):p Packers as CR16 specials..

He was knocked out as soon as he was hit by the Steelers defender

When did you become qualified to determine concussion? NFL isn't the game for sissies either. Too bad Goodell views accidental conduct as VICIOUS, INTENTIONAL ASSAULT. The unofficial Bounty program nobody knows about eh?

HARDEN UP FFS!!
