Theres 4 that come to mind for Fremantle:
1. Headland: Showed briefly early this year of what he could be for the club before injury but has had trouble sustainting this form in recent times. He is a barometer for the side and doesn't ever seem to do anything unless the team is going well.
2. Tarrant: A former AA forward, he has the ability there but is unable to consistently produce good football.
3. Ryan Murphy: In 2006 he looked like he was something special, since then he has gone missing at AFL level while still dominating WAFL level.
4. Adam Campbell: Although given limited opportunities he only ever is able to produce 1 or 2 consequtive good games at AFL level.
Wasn't Campbell De-Listed?

Most essendon fans would say Laycock but i disagree. People don't expect Laycock to do well, they don't expect Laycock to do anything, there is no pressure on him, whatever he does is considered a bonus.

Being on the brink of losing your AFL career does not equate to being under any sort of pressure? Interesting.

Beau Dowler

He's development has been seriously slowed down due to the car accident he had before he was drafted. But he's well and truly over that now and 2009 should be a year that he spends at least half of in the seniers.

Mitch Thorp

Like Dowler he has been injured, but despite that it's fair to say his 2008 was a bit disappointing. He's only played one game but showed so much it's hard to ignore what he could become in a few years time. i would like to see some senior action from him in 09.

Ben McGlynn

What happened? he was great in 07 but after getting suspended in early 08 he just never returned to the seniors. It's fair to say that Michael Osborne and Cyril Rioli have overtaken him. Not to mention that the arrival of Stuart Dew would'nt have helped. I would hate to see him go to waste as i think he is a real talent but if he can't get back to being a regular next year he might get the chop.

Scott McMahon, has looked very good in some games but want him to really step up and be in the top 10-15 in the side next year.

Sam Power, he needs to step up or he might find himself along way back.

Aaron Edwards, needs to really be more consistent next year and stay on the park, could be a good talent but hoping for a big improvement next year, workrate and leading (into the right areas) needs to improve a bit too IMO.

Rusling has just been injured for ages. When he's been on the park I've felt he's been a gun.
Which is exactly why he can't afford to have a poor year, and must prove to the club that he is worth the time and money spent on developing him, by improving upon his past performance! Isn't that stepping up???

Thomas really needs to take the next step, he hasn't developed at all as I would've hoped, and although some of this relates to his build, I honestly feel that he doesn't offer the versatility that he showed glimpses early in his career of possessing.

Corrie, quite simply, must have a season best year, because a player picked up with pick 90 something won't be retained otherwise. Simply put, if he doesn't stand up to be counted, and we still retain him, he'll be holding back the development of a kid. Which is lethal considering the desperate lack of talent that we could be facing due to GC17. Developing the young 'uns becomes that much more important.

Of everyone, I actually though I was being harshest on Toovey.

Troy Chaplin.

His progress will largely be determined by Choco's gameplan - must play him on one of the opposition's key forwards (if there's still one after Carlile has matched up on one).
