Have just got the White album, great. Drank 3 bottles of red wine as i replayed the album and watched the DVD'S. A typical TISM album:D .

WOOHOO! I just saw the new White Album played at ACMI (Australian Centre of the Moving Image) at Federation Square. Ron Hitler Barassi and Humphrey B Flaubert were there and answered questions from the crowd in their usual amusing and abusive fashion. All the people involved in the making of the DVD were also there and interviewed onstage as were several people who took starring roles at various stages (such as a guy who was answering phones in the background for the telethon and a guy who got up onstage and sung He'll never be an old man river)

They played a big chunk of the DVD in 5.1 surround sound in one of the main theatres, which rocked. I was sitting about two rows from the front surrounded by people with video cameras. They played extracts from the Save our TISM concert, several other live gigs and some interview footage. In all it was pretty funny.

They also played a couple of entries that people had submitted for the filmclip for "Everybody else has had more sex than me".

One was an arthouse clip with a guy standing in his underwear in a rundown building filled with rubble and bird sh it, emoting at the camera, picking up a dead pidgeon and staring at it intently, talking into his mobile phone, squeezing a porous ball filled with red dye that covered his hands, having fake blood running out of his nose and mouth then stripping naked at the end of the clip and walking off.

The other was an animated clip with a green pear with arms and legs and a TISM head watching on as everything else that came on the screen (cars, buildings, cows, job ads, cats, dogs, whitegoods, maps of Australia the USA and the UK) had sex with everything else but him. That filmclip ended with the TISM man having sex with several computers.

Finally, I got Ron and Humphrey to sign my copy of the White Album. WOOHOO!

Did you go to Mazenod? I find it amusing that RHB would be a teacher. Still, several of my closest friends are teachers, and I know just what they're like, so I guess its not too surprising.

I go to mazenod

A bit of trivia:
My dad went to school (mazenod) and was good mates with the father of the two Jet members (the one who recently past away) and that father is the uncle of one of the members of tism.

hahahaha... either that's a lie, or there isn't a great cousin to cousin relationship in that family... TISM bag the crap out of jet on their DVD that comes with their new album, quite funny stuff...

My personal favourite Ron Hitler Barassi rant

Morrison Hostel

My personal favourite as well.

By the way, does anyone else have the book that TISM released in the early 90s? I think it was called "The TISM Guide to Little Aesthetics" and it had all their lyrics and all the pamphlets they used to send out to the people on their mailing list. Interestingly, there were some legal problems with some of their lyrics, so they had to go through every copy and put a black line through all the potentially libellous stuff.

didn't realise they played in Sydney last night - I haven't read the usual street press for a few weeks etc GRRRRRRR.
I wasn't doing much either, and would definitely have gone.

godamn that's annoying.

I still have my copy of "Defecate on my face!" (1st single). Not many copies were produced so its rarer than Rocking Horse Sh1t!

My Favourite rant is on the B side;

"Art is for the filty rich
and their noble F*cking minds.
'Cos they're the only ones
with any F*cking time!".

And then later on-

"I'd rather go to Broady,
and get my face bashed in
by some lethal lout
with a piece of tin!".

I played in a band in the '90's, and we got to support them for some shows (along with H.A.N.D.), for the launch of their controversial and heavily censored due to legal reasons book. Funny bunch of bastards (moreso offstage). Not the type of blokes you'd expect them to be at all.

just got back from the gig... quality show again, they played virtually non stop for an hour... they did a few songs where they only played a couple of bars, so we heard a bit of everything...

the rant tonight started "I'd like to concede on behalf of TISM that we lost the election." then just went on spraying guy sebastian... wasn't band, have heard better ones though...
