I think I would select the player who performed when it mattered and has the premiership medals to prove it.
By this logic Marlion Pickett is a better player than Nat Fyfe.

Sound logic.

Just on knowing what your talking about; I'm fairly sure it was you that was claiming Darling had achieved a better career than Gunston a few pages back.
Was a pisstake to one poster calling Darling trash, which I thought was bleedingly obvious.

Clearly is wasn't, judging by people's lack of ability to realise it.

Gunston's had the better overall career(3 flags > 1) but Darling's had a lot more periods where he was far more dominant in a lesser side, as well as kicking more goals

Premiership medals is a dumb metric to judge a player on.

By your criteria, Jason Castagna is a superior player to Nathan Buckley.
It also means Daniel Venables is a better player than Patrick Cripps

Billy Frampton has the wood on Tex Walker and Eddie Betts.

This tb thing will get done very smoothly.

Hawks don't mess around. They threw the whole kitchen sink at Harley Reid last year at the start of trade week.

They will put up an offer of max that they can afford

I cant imagine a final offer is in place until the Hawks season is done either, or at least if we know if theyre in the prelim or not

But I was informed by the WCE list manager it was two 1sts or GAGF
Gotta be both firsts now you’ve made finals. Can’t see that pick being worse than 12 and it has a decent chance of being more.

Two teens picks for a player of the calibre you’re getting is a bargain and I think the Hawks know that and will hand them both over.

Different discussion if it’s a top 10 pick but 12 + 14 is pretty similar to 6-8 + F2 that has been thrown around in here for months.

Can’t have your cake and eat it too. Higher finish on the ladder means you need to find something else.

Yeah

It won’t be two firsts

I don't think two firsts are a bargain, nor do I expect Hawthorn to willingly hand them over, but that should be our starting point. Hawthorn are in a fantastic position list wise and will be able to successfully round out their list with lower picks.

Barrass + F2 for 12 + F1
