I'd say so.Where is Denver Grainger-Barras at? It would be nice to keep a Barras of sorts in the Eagles line-up.
Hawthorn's first-rounder + Barras for Barrass.
As will some Hawks fans. Some Eagles fans will have egg on their face by the end of the trade period
I think you are going to be very disappointed by what WC accept for him.Lock it in bud. Both firsts will be here. Whether that requires later swaps or not. No chance were handing over a contracted star for peanuts.
What other moves do the Hawks have lined up? I understand Hawthorn fans don't like the idea of parting with two firsts but their draft hand is already thin this year without giving up 12 and 30. Keeping 30 this year and taking West Coast's F2 back for Hawthorn's F1 is effectively a loss of one draft pick for Barrass. Given the state of Hawthorn's list, that's a fairly solid deal to bring a quality defender through the door.If it stays as is I think it falls to something like this.
Barrass and a future 3rd
for
#12 and #30
He doesnt have concussion issues(where is this even coming from?), and his back is fine. If either were an issue you guys wouldnt be offering 4 years lol1st round pick for a soon to be 29 year old player next year, with back and concussions issues, and wants out of a poor performing club, is not worth a first round. In recent years we have paid offers, a future first round you should be happy with.
Concussed once and has a bit of a stiff back when not playing. He doesnt have concussion issues(where is this even coming from?), and his back is fine. If either were an issue you guys wouldnt be offering 4 years lol
Well if he is that stuffed then there are seriously question marks regarding your clubs judgement here no?1st round pick for a soon to be 29 year old player next year, with back and concussions issues.

Heaven forbid these precious people were privy to the medical information of any other player +25yo player in the league...

How many games has he missed due to his back since returning?Bit of a stiff back? After he came out and said he contemplated not playing again?
If you get a first round pick you're making out like bandits. Don't be fooled because we underpaid for Lake mean we are doing the same here.

West Coast are far from a rabble. List is genuinely not as bad as people make out.Let’s be real...your team is a rabble. The Hawks are ready to offer a first-round pick (which will be all) for one of your injury ridden players that wants out of the sinking ship, and you’ll gladly accept. Why? Because with your club’s current struggles, it’s the best you can hope for. Enjoy the pick, because it’s a rare glimmer of value in an otherwise bleak situation.

There's also no indication hawthorn would give you more.West Coast are far from a rabble. List is genuinely not as bad as people make out.
We will get a fair price for a very good player. We have given no indication that we would accept a single first round pick alone for him. The only word from the Eagles about it is:
Exactly, but jokes and posturing aside, we all know Barrass is actually worth more than pick 12 or whatever it is you end up with. There's also no indication hawthorn would give you more.
1st round pick for a soon to be 29 year old player next year, with back and concussions issues
If he's so crippled and injury ridden why have you tabled a 4 year, multi-million dollar contract to him?The Hawks are ready to offer a first-round pick (which will be all) for one of your injury ridden players that wants out of the sinking ship
Where's the sweetener?Deal already agreed to
Hawks 1st rounder +DGB
1st day
West Coast throwing Reid in?Where's the sweetener?
Its true. It's between the clubs. Ie. There's no set market price.Exactly, but jokes and posturing aside, we all know Barrass is actually worth more than pick 12 or whatever it is you end up with.
Look at the trade values thrown up for Houston/Rioli/Baker and whoever else, Barrass isnt worth less than any of those blokes.
Whatever it ends up at we wont know for a while yet anyway
