If it stays as is I think it falls to something like this.

Barrass and a future 3rd

for

#12 and #30
What other moves do the Hawks have lined up? I understand Hawthorn fans don't like the idea of parting with two firsts but their draft hand is already thin this year without giving up 12 and 30. Keeping 30 this year and taking West Coast's F2 back for Hawthorn's F1 is effectively a loss of one draft pick for Barrass. Given the state of Hawthorn's list, that's a fairly solid deal to bring a quality defender through the door.

Gotta love the complaining of what someone is worth.

I can guarantee if it barrass going to wce in the exact same situation, wce fans would be saying the same. Back worries, essentially been betrayed by the club, not going to keep a restless player etc. First rounder only

He will probably go for hawks 1st, dgb and second for barrass and a 3rd.

Picks are a non guarantee. Players are known commodity.

Let these list management experts do their thing and then complain ffs

If you listen carefully you can hear the blues window slamming shut now that a club that knows how to win is recruiting to fix a weakness.

1st round pick for a soon to be 29 year old player next year, with back and concussions issues, and wants out of a poor performing club, is not worth a first round. In recent years we have paid offers, a future first round you should be happy with.
He doesnt have concussion issues(where is this even coming from?), and his back is fine. If either were an issue you guys wouldnt be offering 4 years lol

Concussed once and has a bit of a stiff back when not playing.

Heaven forbid these precious people were privy to the medical information of any other player +25yo player in the league...

Bit of a stiff back? After he came out and said he contemplated not playing again?

If you get a first round pick you're making out like bandits. Don't be fooled because we underpaid for Lake mean we are doing the same here.

How many games has he missed due to his back since returning?

I'm not talking about his back-related hamstring injury either, as that's not relevant.

Clearly you club I happy enough to offer him 4 years with a trigger for a 5th.

Let’s be real...your team is a rabble. The Hawks are ready to offer a first-round pick (which will be all) for one of your injury ridden players that wants out of the sinking ship, and you’ll gladly accept. Why? Because with your club’s current struggles, it’s the best you can hope for. Enjoy the pick, because it’s a rare glimmer of value in an otherwise bleak situation.

West Coast are far from a rabble. List is genuinely not as bad as people make out.

We will get a fair price for a very good player. We have given no indication that we would accept a single first round pick alone for him. The only word from the Eagles about it is:

“We will endeavour to meet Tom’s request while protecting the best interests of the West Coast Eagles.”

Doesnt sound like roll over and take it to me

Injury-ridden?

He's missed 1 game under concussion protocols this year, 1 via suspension and had the rest off so he can be cherry-ripe for your preseason.

There's also no indication hawthorn would give you more.

Exactly, but jokes and posturing aside, we all know Barrass is actually worth more than pick 12 or whatever it is you end up with.
Look at the trade values thrown up for Houston/Rioli/Baker and whoever else, Barrass isnt worth less than any of those blokes.

Whatever it ends up at we wont know for a while yet anyway

If he's so crippled and injury ridden why have you tabled a 4 year, multi-million dollar contract to him?

That's a lot of money over a long time for someone as banged up as old Tommy. Sounds like terrible list management to me.

Its true. It's between the clubs. Ie. There's no set market price.
