... yetNo-one is talking about Temu Reid!
For the 10zillionth time nobody wants DGB, he is dead weight in a trade. The fact that you wasted a high pick on him is unfortunate but its not our problem. It's one of this year or next years first a third round pick, dgb with barass and a 4thround pick coming back
True, was thinking when I posted that "you know what in 5 years someone is going to find this thread and bump that comment calling me a nuffy"... yet
He's looking good at the moment. It's making our 'just take Reids' strategy last year look pretty goodTrue, was thinking when I posted that "you know what in 5 years someone is going to find this thread and bump that comment calling me a nuffy"
Nobody stipulated which Reid.Nice clickbait from the Eagles page there. Clicked it half expecting it to be Harley.
Because the relationship is severed, and he is not going back. They are a willing seller and everybody knows thisBarrass is contracted, isn't he? Why should WCE accept unders for him because "it's too much risk for Hawthorn"?

Hawks will be generous and give them #13 plus a F3 and the eagles will consider that a win
Well the previous management agreed to what he wantedHang on?
Severed? How do you know it’s severed?
Tom’s issue is with previous management who aren’t there anymore, not the current people.
Seems like a bunch of hyperbole and aggrandising.
Well the previous management agreed to what he wanted
Its this management that wont honour the agreement
his issue is with the current management
Connect the dotsIs it? Do you know that or did you just assume that?
So you're guessing based on BigFooty?Connect the dots
Club Vice captain contracted
Wants to move after protracted disputes with the club about what was promised to stop him moving
Walks out and clears out his locker
wants to join another club and selects Hawks
Info thats been passed on by McGovern
Can you really see him going back
A bad relationship is actually just extra bargaining power for the club of a contracted player. "If you don't help us get the best pick possible then we'll make you come back". The way his time at WCE ended, don't be surprised if Barrass lands at Richmond for pick 1.Because the relationship is severed, and he is not going back. was that on the mailbag? havent listened to it yet.Thought a WC poster might have mentioned Daniels on HBG saying he had a quick chat with someone close to it and all signs are this is going to go the distance. WC adamant they want two firsts, Hawks adamant no.
Paraphrasing a bit but that was the gist of it. I still cant see Hawks possibly doing that but hats off to Clarke if he pulls it off
Yeah mailbag, general gist was "strap yourselves in"was that on the mailbag? havent listened to it yet.
Hopefully I didnt just miss it completely from the 2min warning haha
2 firsts is fine as long as we get Eagles 2nd rounder this year coming with BarrassThought a WC poster might have mentioned Daniels on HBG saying he had a quick chat with someone close to it and all signs are this is going to go the distance. WC adamant they want two firsts, Hawks adamant no.

Just listened to it, sounds like west coast and the Hawks are at the same spot as us nuffies are in hereYeah mailbag, general gist was "strap yourselves in"

Well im sure you didnt get the email from the club either so this is a footy forum and we are all just " Connecting the dots"So you're guessing based on BigFooty?

No, the trade hasnt been done yet. WC can demand what they want, Hawks can pick a price they dont like. No one is right in September. So you’re saying that everyone who said 2 x firsts was right and that Eagles have zero obligation to take less?
People here on BigFooty might finally learn the difference between CONTRACTED and OUT OF CONTRACT players.
The first one the original club has the leverage and can set the price, the second one the player involved has the power.

I mean I was adamant saying they wont do two firsts, and still think that will be the case but I think 13 and a 2nd will be the deal. It is a massive leap to the extra first, regardless of what comes back because nothing is guaranteed and feels like a price / risk Hawks will dig their heels over. I read most Hawks as thinking pick 13 wont be enough by itself, just varying levels of sweetners.Didn’t say trade was done, if you listened to Hawks fans and some “neutrals” in this thread, you would think Eagles were just gonna roll over and accept Pick 13 at maximum. In form Contracted players always cost more.
This one may come to a stalemate come October
Most sensible supporters of both teams realise a fair deal will get done, pick 13 and a 2nd should seal the deal.Didn’t say trade was done, if you listened to Hawks fans and some “neutrals” in this thread, you would think Eagles were just gonna roll over and accept Pick 13 at maximum.
