There's a lot more to Tom staying than just his football ability- the message it sends South-the morale boost for the Club
And he arguably won the Carlton game off his own boot
Sportspeople understand the rarity of matchwinners.
He may be playing unfit but I promise you he will be trying harder than anyone to win the ball and do something positive with it
If he stays I will be ****-a-hoop
If he leaves we move on
Yeah I think I'm the same, I've only just started to see some sort of upside structure-wise if he goes. Still plenty of upside to him staying (at the right price).

More than anything, I hate the thought of the Victorian PR/news cycle if he does go.

It's amazing how all the Melbourne media flogs are reporting how can Lynch stay not how bad has Lynch been the past 2 seasons

Who the frig is Jay Clark? What a VFL scum bag. That article made me log onto the Herald Sun site and comment.
Thankfully our players aren’t like us and don’t read crap like that.

Is that the Milne stuff or was that seperate?

Irrelevant goose trying to stay in the spotlight, Gotcha. I bet the old fogy VFL tragics love him.

His failed attempts at hashtags (Which is ironic because I'm talking about them, im aware) reminds me of this classic.

Back in their heyday, St Daterape managed at least one high profile scandal per offseason. Milne's initial date rape was in 2004, but the girl who later pressed charges was the very same - St Kilda scandals are the Christmas gift that keeps on giving. The Saints gave the Bombers their first round pick and Andrew Lovett got himself on rape charges in record time. The St Kilda girl stuff came after when a 16 year old girl started rooting Sam Gilbert and claimed she was pregnant, before Nixon came along and got some himself. In 2015, the Saints got Jake Carlisle from the Bombers, this time getting a player with pre-exisitng scandals. Then there was the sex scandal in the St Kilda administration with the twice disgraced Brian Waldron, also the architect of Melbourne Storm's salary cap rorting.

Like clockwork they wouldn't report my comment again (tried 5 times). Jay Clark is a mate of Campbell Brown & a turd of a journalist.

This has me thinking Lynch has already Told the club he is OUT

He is right that neither of those blokes can be missing for Heron.

I realise that a Heron type player fits with his system but at this stage he lacks both the forward craft and the strength to lay the tackle when he gets there (he got turned inside out twice in 5 seconds in the 3rd quarter by Cunico).

What about Aaron hamill

I wouldn't listen to anything Healy says unless he's reporting after the fact. Dude is very basic and a prime example of the AFL boys club. Cant imagine how much speaking training he needed to be on TV. Struggles with sentences hahaha

No, he is a Restricted Free Agent. So dumb!
Uh, of course he could go to national draft... as a restricted free agent we can match any offer, doesn't mean he has to accept it. if he chooses not to accept an offer he can enter the draft as an uncontracted player.

That would take a rival offer and the Suns matching offer against it. Have you got any reason to believe the club would risk that? Seriously??

Brisbane would be happy with that get him with pick 1

Which is the other reason why it would never happen. Why would the Suns risk maximum compensation or Lynch risk being picked by a club that he didn't choose?

Geez watching West Coast on the weekend we ****ed up not taking Brenden Ah Chee two years ago when he nominated us, tough, reads the play, clunks marks and kicks goals

yeah I wanted him just so cal would stay long term but I think we made the right call.
Have I missed something what has Brenden done at west coast only played the 4 game averaging 15 disposals at 60% disposal efficiency and 0 goals

Also played 3 wafl game for 1 goal

Any article that says Tom Lynch could go to the Draft is just stupidity. I don't care what price tag he or the club he desires in Melbourne put on him the minute he goes into a draft the Lions - Blues - Saints would pay it - Lynch would rather stay at the Suns then play for those clubs. So that is highly unlikely.

If Lynch for example chooses Collingwood then the Suns have too and surely will match any contract offered and force a trade. Then the fun begins and if its with Collingwood I can assure you as a Lions supporter it will be pain staking dealing with them and there supporters.

But at a minimum the Suns should be asking for is a first round pick AND a ready made player such as Tom Phillips or Darcy Moore.

Sick of Queenslands two sides being pillaged by Victorian clubs.

The only problem with this type of scenario, even if it is what GC need to do, is convincing that player to move to the GC.
The club in question, Collingwood in your example, may be really happy to do that deal, but the ready made player may refuse to move, hence squashing the deal.

What about first round pick + Josh Thomas ( Queenalander ) playing AFL and not VFL + another Collingwood players maybe Adam oxley playing VFL .
Thomas (27 next year )
oxley ( 26 next year )

The deal itself in principal is good, The first example first example given of 1st rounder + Moore is not unreasonable either, the stumbling block to it though may not be Collingwood, but Moore himself.

You example might be more realistic as the chances of luring home a QLDer might be higher, but either are acceptable in terms of value.

the biggest stumbling block with any trade when people through up players is not the value of the player in question, its whether the player would actually move.

So when Richmond people through up things like: 1st rounder + BEllis + Miles, it might sound fair but if Bellis and Miles don't won't to move, it doesn't matter how fair or unfair it is, it won't happen anyway.

That is your presumption , we don't know what happen behind the scenes .
