Was looking up something else on the Swans board and stumbled across a Tom Mitchell thread started after they first got him on their list.

I found the first response quite entertaining for obvious reasons! :D

I remember watching him in his first few years at Sydney. Was always amazed at how he just kept accumulating the ball. Amazing work rate that he just gets to every contest.

Just thrilled to have him at our club.

In 2014 Jordan Lewis joined Terry Wallace (83) and Anthony Condon (91) as joint leaders for most disposals in a game for Hawthorn. They were later joined by other club champions in Luke Hodge (2015), Sam Mitchell and Josh Gibson (2016).

So we had 6 people on equal most disposals for the club. Then Tom Mitchell came and in 2 seasons has taken all top 6 spots and has 11 in the top 20, Nine of them from 2018.

It’d take a brave man to bet he won’t be holding all 20 by career end. Let alone end of next year.

Sam Mitchell at his peak playing midfield only would get similar numbers, the big question on my mind, when will he get 60 touches in a game?

To be perfectly honest, I hope he doesn't - it concerns me when he's getting 50. We need others to chip in with their 30 odd.
