In his role as guest presenter on the Daily Planet, Tom Waits reveals his favourite recording ever, how Motown choreography is like Hula Dancing and how 'Everything is permitted' as he guest presents and programs the Daily Planet and chats with Lucky Oceans.

His playlist includes William Burroughs (singing, can you believe?), Otis Redding, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Bob Dylan, Mary Gauthier, Elvis Presley, Alex Chilton and Los Lobos.

Missed it but about to listen to it now ! Lucky Oceans is normally a very good interviewer. :thumbsu:

One of those artists who I don't think I'll ever truly come to terms with their back catalogue.

It used to be Nick Cave but I think I've finally transitioned from part-time listener to fan. Hopefully I can do the same with Waits.

I love Rain Dogs and FWIW think Alice is a criminally underrated album.

As rare a musician as there has ever been. 'Bad as Me' surpassed all expectations and is already a classic.

I still haven't listened to every Waits album which is exciting.
