You know how I said it was a win-win? Well, the skills on display at the 'G by Richmond definitely made my day. They were unbelievably shit whenever any Melbourne player got close.

Wasn't a case of Richmond being gutless (which they are, blame Damo) more a case of the Dees wanting it more and playing for each other.

Having also been at that game, the Dees tried hard, but they still lack skills. A team like Richmond should have rolled them, but they squibbed every contest and had no real direction - that last quarter all they were doing was bombing it long in the hope someone would somehow run past the three men Melbourne had floating back. I liked the look of the Dees, but man... I haven't seen Richmond play that badly in a while. As soon as the rain hit at half time they just fell apart.
