So Tony decides to defend the media and take Hardwick on when he hosted Footy Classified this week.
His whole attempt at humiliating Hardwick was trying to say Hardwicks comments defending Rance became the big talking point rather than the game, when Hardwick scolded the media for tall poppy syndrome.
Lloyd then defends Hardwick and says well what if Hardwick was just answering a question about Rance (which he was), to which Chompers responded, and i quote “I don’t know, I wasn’t at the presser and didn’t see it”.
I mean seriously, is this where we are at? What a ******* idiot. It’s just breathtaking how dumb, ignorant and stupid these guys are. They think they are bigger than the game.

Ah Chompers is just part of an ever growing disease in the media: purposely sensationalist, purposely controversial bordering on absurd, all to gain attention. Doesn't matter if you get the facts wrong, sh*t you can even lie your arse off about someone or something, just as long as you get the attention.

This disease was first diagnosed in the 70's. Its name is Murdochitis. Look it up. Spreading all over the world. Check out Fox News for some of the worst cases. Shocking disease, just terrible.

Sam McClure is that work experience kid who they forgot to send home and he's just somehow ended up with more work.

You can tell from Dimma's response in the latest presser (where he was asked about Rance) that he's just about had it with the journos and their beat ups of the week. I'd hate to be on the receiving end of a Dimma spray because you could see his blood pressure rising to the point it looked like he'd just walked in on someone stealing his visor collection.

just a shit bloke - i remember when he broke the thompson depression story - a few journalists knew about it but never ran the story as Thompson had told them he wasnt ready to deal with it and they respected his privacy - this campaigner put his career ahead of the mental anguish of a depression sufferer, even though Thompson had pleaded with him not to release it. Ever since then I have had zero respect for the germ. Probably no coincidence that the industry has gone downhill since then - I reckon that was a watershed moment in football journalism

Back on topic though, I watched Dimmas presser the day before those comments from TJ, and the pressa goes for around 10 minutes, out of those 10 minutes there was maybe 30-45 seconds spend on the Rance saga but only because a journo asked the question.
