Anthony Rocca for his massive boot and massive heart
Ben Johnson because he's just a legend
Scott Pendlebury for being a 10 (out of 10)
Jamie Elliot for being a poker-faced assassin
Tarkyn Lockyer because he's a nice guy

The 6-10 listers (in no particular order) would also include: Nick Maxwell, Leon Davis, Paul Medhurst, Steele Sidebottom and Dale Thomas

The 11-400 list is a bit longer so I won't include it here :p

Jock McHale/Gordon Coventry because I liked history books growing up.
Mason Cox because he's a good bloke
Scott Pendlebury because he's a great
Nick Daicos because he's a kid (baby goat)
Tom Langdon because he played so well and the 2018 Grand Final was something special.

Harvey Harrison is another one I love. As is Oleg Markov but they need a bit longer to reach the top five.

Forgetting about the Collier, Pannam and Coventry brothers is like forgetting about Pendlebury and Sidebottom in 100 years time.

The Daicoses will be the next pair of legend brothers for the club. They've won a premiership each. Now let's add to the tally.

Peter Daicos
Wayne Richardson
Rene Kink
Ronny Wearmouth
Ricky Barham

All based upon my emotional connection and the excitement they created rather than being the best players I've seen. Of course, they were all highly talented.

Peter Mckenna, John Greening, Barry Price honourable mentions.

Peter Daicos
Darren Millane
Gavin Crosisca
Gavin Brown
Leon Davis

You can date my vintage. Childhood heroes....

Gavin Brown my clear fav. Loved how he went about it. Bravest player I have seen. Collingwood through and through. Being a Marcellin boy helps also but even without that just loved him

Wayne Richardson dont have to think about no 2 either. Wore his number as a kid and wanted to be him

Nathan Buckley best Pie I have seen and love how he loves the club

Peter McKenna in his heyday bought so much pleasure for so long. Tuddy KOing him cost us 70 flag. Underappreciated how good he was

Daics the purest joy in footy was watching Daics on fire.

Honourable mention John Greening would have been the best Pie ever, Fab Phil could have been everything but while he was alight wow wow wow. Kinky even loved him when he spat on Jezza

Nicky D will end up on the list. Just a joy and will be better than Dad at careers end.

Tarkyn Lockyer
Beau McCreery
Brayden Maynard
Nathan Brown
Scott Pendlebury

Edit: Forgot Coxy. Have six.

I was told by a girlfriend of Kink's that he had been involved in a car accident during that season whereby a man was killed and the man's family( of Italian descent) were threatening Kink. Jezza apparently called Kink a 'murderer' and that led to the spitting. Can't verify if true but hardly seemed like a story she made up.

1. John Greening- was our best player ever in my lifetime IMO, and was the best player in the league in 1972. Consecutive games in 1972- 46 disposals and 6 goals against the Cats and followed by 45 disposals and 4 goals against the Swans, all whilst playing as a midfielder. Was playing the 'modern game' before anyone else.

2 Peter Daicos- made kicking goals an art form.

3. Darren Millane - was the heart and soul of 1990.

4. Scott Pendelbury- for playing at such a high level consistently for so long with such grace and beauty.

5. Cannot split Nathan Buckley, Anthony and Sav Rocca, Gavin Brown, Steele Sidebottom, Leon Davis, Jordan De Goey, Dane Swan Paul Williams and Trav Cloke.

Billy Picken
Ricky Barham
Peter Daicos
Leon Davis
Sav Rocca

Special mention Peter Moore before going to Melbourne.

My obscure favourite: Dale Woodhall. (You may need to look him up) 😂
