If you have a look at the ladder the majority of teams on top of the ladder have coaches who have been at the top level for less than five years. Down the bottom you have three multi premiership coaches who are past their prime. Collingwood, Carlton and maybe less significantly essendon need to get an injection of youth in the box as well as on the field. The game has changed immesurably since the 80's and these coaches are no longer in touch with what the pace is actually like at ground level.

So there's one who doesn't cut it. That's not the point have a look at the ladder before you comment further.

You have no idea about the Bombers do you? Harvey & O'Donnell aren't old & if you bothered to watch last nights game, you would have seen that they have some great young players emerging.

So Alistair Clarkson, who is the youngest or second youngest coach in the AFL I believe....what's wrong with him? Too young?
He's in his first year at Hawthorn and he is picking up from the mess left by Schwab. It will take longer than one season for him to develop the side into a premiership contender.

He is obviously referring to the headcoach. Surely even someone as dumb as you can figure that out.

Sheedy has won a Premiership and been in Grand Finals in each of the last 3 decades. I'm pretty certain he has found the ability to adapt, innovate and progress.

Well if that's what he meant then he should have said that. Anyway, makes no difference to my point, Harvey & O'Donnell mightn't be the head coach, but they still have a huge input into the team & the way they play, but surely you knew that. :p
