Much musical discussion in the RCT tonight...what are yours? Favourites, not necessarily the best of all time.

(Tempted to restrict it to one album per band, so PP doesn't list Custard's entire discography? ;) Or so I don't list Muse's, for that matter...)

1. Muse - Origin of Symmetry
2. Radiohead - OK Computer (could be The Bends depending on my mood)
3. Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
4. The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead
5. Pulp - Different Class
6. The Beatles - Abbey Road
7. The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
8. Joy Division - Substance (yes it's a compilation but it's not my fault Ian Curtis died so soon!)
9. The Doors - The Doors
10. Massive Attack - Mezzanine

Stiff to miss out: Any Blur album, any other Beatles album, various Bowie albums, various Nick Cave albums, Oasis - What's the Story Morning Glory, The Pixies - Doolittle, The Cure - Disintegration, and oh god so many more :(

Love this album, though probably not in my top 10. Horizons was a very good follow up by the boys from Byron Bay too.

Many others in there too...

Death Cab For Cutie - Transatlanticism
Great album.

I really like albums that flow; you can tell they were created in order to go in a particular order, as opposed to a few songs thrown together.

I bought that in Year 11 and spent each day walking to school and back listening to that for a good few months.

Still love it, and have really enjoyed Plans and Narrow Stairs, but I don't know if I can keep following them after they recorded a song for that Twilight movie.

Yeah Horizons was good but it fell short of Killing With A Smile. Their new album Deep Blue is due out in a couple of weeks (25th). They've hooked up with a different producer for Deep Blue and after hearing a track from it you can already hear a difference. Don't really rate the song itself though.

Yeah it's a ****ing brilliant album. It's almost timeless, definitely an album I'll still be listening to many years down the track. So soothing and relaxing.

Growing up listening Nirvana I have an intense hate for Blink 182. I cringe everytime I hear one of their songs.
Excuse my ignorance but how come? I was a fan of both when I was growing up.
