But neither Lever not Treloar were RFA’s? For an RFA you only have to beat the leaving clubs contract offer. Tho it will be massive. And the AFL will try and cheat and pump it up.

I dunno, me brain hurts from working, I thought if you have less then 8 yrs of service at a team then you were a RFA, anything over your unrestricted.

and You have Proof of this Being True?
The club has said that will not be big players at the draft, so no major player link to us looks like no one wants to move to our club, hence there comments to get us to read

It's not a bidding process though. You make an offer, if they choose to match then you're locked into a trade negotiation or the player stays.

Nah it’s over 8 years (tho the AFLPA is trying to get it to 6). Here you go:

Players who are in the top 25 per cent of salaries at their club (that is, in the club’s top nine-10 paid players) are eligible for restricted free agency the first time they are out of contract, if they have served at least eight years with the club.

A top 25 per cent player is eligible for unrestricted free agency when next out of contract, provided a player can never be an unrestricted free agent until completing at least 10 years’ service at one club.

So this 600k a year, did it come from someone internally to the club that knows the exact list strategy (if there is one)? We could have front loaded a heap of contracts for this year meaning the cap is tight this year but relatively free next year?

What proof do you need, it is in the media every day?

Watts, Schache, Lever etc etc, it happens every year, I call it BS.

No One has come out and said it was False either

So if I/player manager/club make up a story, tell The Sun and they report it, Collingwood ignores it and don't say it is false it must be true?
Collingwood sells Dave, I thought you would have worked it out by now.

You have to be in the top 25% of earners at the club to qualify for RFA, and it has to be your first time as a free agent.

I know but not everything is False

Freo Gain, Ramsay and Collingwood's future second.
Pies Gain, Freo's future second and future third.

They reckon we will be shit this year, I reckon we will make the eight.

What is this garbage?? If Collingwood gives up pick 6 to get this pea heart in, I will give up. Seriously what is wrong with this club???

This 'only $600,000' to play with figure is misleading, I think. Does it factor in current front loaded contacts? What if Wells and Mayne are paid less in their second year? There's possibly another $100,000 to play with right there. Of course, we have to delist at least 3 players - our salary cap could be $1,000,000+... moral of the story? Who the f*^k would know?

I would prefer to say that not every thing is true, but then I am a glass half full type of person.

What Media say is not Final as you have to wait for Manager or Club to Confirm or Deny these Media Reports

So we stuffed up by not giving Lynch money under the table to accept a low ball contract last time he signed with GCS. We should have convinced him to not be in theri top 25%.
