Hamling, a delisted player from Geelong. Wins a flag after struggling to hold a spot in our side all year. Has a great finals series and gets a GodFather offer to return to his home state. The sky is falling!!

Aside from the financial implications, that's why I'm very hesitant to have a go at Adams (or anyone) for asking to trade for family reasons. You're right, those reasons aren't to be taken lightly.

Too many players using this as a reason though . They can't all have family issues/mental health issues. Sadly it detracts from the ones who actually do have issues.

Currently Freo's lowest pick is 35 which doesn't cut the mustard IMO but we may be forced to take it or, there may be a decent Victorian player on their list and who would like to come home due to "family reasons" that we can accept as a trade.

Thanks for the most general, thoughtless answer. If you're going to be constantly critical of the team from a list management perspective, at least provide a suggestion for what you think they should do and what would actually make you less of a whiney little bitch about the staff 100% of the time.

How come all of GWS depth get them great trades but whenever the depth of the of anyone else (us as Premiers) depth who can't get a run are automatically only worth 3rd or 4th rounders?

Because 90% of our depth were late picks while nearly all theirs were first rounders

We know very little about Marcus's situation at the moment so I don't think we should be bagging him just yet. Don't forget about his relationship with his brother and it was highlighted even before he was drafted that it would be a difficult thing for them to be separated.

I'm just not sure I can buy the "family reasons" line.

I can with him and highlighted it as the downside of drafting him before we even did. Excited me as a footballer but had a tonne of baggage since his brothers near death. Very annoyed he's doing it and would hope it's not the offer of huge money.

Maybe on a bright side his foot continues to plague him and we dodged a bullet. Let's hope both clubs show enough interest and we determine where in WA he plays.
