Yes, but at least producing it more than once in a blue moon which Lovett does. Apart from the Anzac Day match Lovett has been very ordinary. Johnson at least had games where he'd kick 4-5 goals even when Geelong were ordinary..has Lovett had ANY 4-5 games.

ESSENDON'S Andrew LOvett has up to eight clubs chasing him, making him one of the hottest properties on day one.
The Bombers received no formal offers yesterday, but a second-round pick seems to be the asking price.
A Lovett deal with Sydney for Ryan O'Keefe is not a prospect.

8 clubs?! Brilliant. Should get a decent trade. An EARLY second rounder is what we are chasing. Good to hear that more then half of the other clubs are interested

Weren't you one that kept repeating how naive we were thinking that we could get a top 25 pick? 3rd rounder was what you perceived his value to be IIRC.

I still don't think he is worth more than a 30ish pick, that does not mean I don't hope we'll get a much better deal than we should for him.
I disagree with the first part, 15 possessions from Lovett is worth more than 25 possessions from Stanton, Nash or Watson.

No it isn't. 15 disposals for a wingman who plays loose is poor. Plus name 1 game other than the Anzac match where he has been anthing other than ordinary. If we can get Prismall plus a draft pick for Lovett I'd do it in a second. Unlike Lovett Prismall aint a pisshead!

Lovett is an talent no doubt but his good and poor performances are too far apart. Playing a decent match every 5 games is pretty poor for someone in their prime of their career. He can't produce when his team is down and too often he plays his best when Essendon are cruising. Trade him for Prismall plus Geelong's second rounder.

I'm not against it. Ideally I would want to get a higher draft pick in return, whatever deal that may be, i.e. Lovett & Dyson for Prismall & 1st round pick.
NOTE: You may replace Dyson with any player or late draft pick you like.

I'd still call 21 average..5 years on and we are still waiting for a 27-30 possession game
west coast this year 26 posessions 1 goal 7 inside 50s
west coast last year 27 possessions 8 marks 2 tackles
you have to remember he is in his 4th year, he has only really played 1.5 years in the midfeild, the midfield is the most complicated area on the ground, it takes a while to fully learn how to play there.
with lovett every posession he seems to get is really valuable, its almost always breaking the lines or creating play, you rarely see him get cheap kicks in the defensive 50.
i dont care if he never gets over 30 touches a match, 25 of his quality touches will do me just fine.

Well he's recieved brownlow votes in at least 5+ games IIRC. Surely those games were above average.

You know as well as I do that Brownlow votes hardly are the way of determining whether it was a good game or not..all it means is the player was nice to the umps and performed decently

So once every 12 months..well fair dinkum give the guy a medal..I want more than once every 12 months thanks. Trade him, Prismall offers more, ad finds the ball himself a bit more.
