You've been consistent about your industry source on this point but frankly who ever it is sounds like the person I'd want to be dealing with.

Almost always goes too hard too early and we almost always get the extra we were looking for.

Maybe and although this is from one source I have a few contacts across a few clubs and the general opinion was 2 1st round out and second round back should be the deal. Lets just say the message came from someone who has had way way more results wise in the last 10 years than us and a lot of other clubs.

Dodo should have seen this was likely to happen especially as he was part of the Scully discussions & should know about this stuff.

I dont care about other deals done this trade period, Shiel is already a gun and can be a contested ball king. He is what we need.

Just pay the asking price ( 1st round 18 & 19 ) and negotiate a good set of steak knives.

True although he will go via FA so they will still get something even if it is less than our offer. On top of this he could well stay if Kelly looks like heading out the door.

So there needs to be a workaround organised. Requires a trade guru to get it done.
