I wonder if Armitage would be open to a move back to QLD? If Caddy were to go to the Saints? Would be a useful player with a mature body on him, can kick a goal also?

The other option that should be considered is mature recruit from a strong state league around the country. Podsiadly was a huge success for Geelong and would have help Tom Hawkins develop over the past few years. Does any know any good state league forwards that are around? Will be a lot cheaper that the Kurt Tippett option
I think you will find that he is earmarked as the first in line to replace Lenny Hayes, once he hangs up his boots. Offloading him would probably defeat the purpose of us getting Caddy to a very large degree. Especially unlikely now that we have lost another "big body" in Goddard, who was also playing in the guts in the 2nd half of the season.I wonder if Armitage would be open to a move back to QLD? No chance, will try find quote from him where he says he has never considered leaving the Saints to go home. Even when out of contract, so would have to be remarkable turn in events to happen.
I can also show you a quote that if Tippett ever left the Crows, it would be to return home to Queensland
But have to agree with you, Armitage is an integral part of the Saints midfield now that Goddard has moved on. I also think it is ridiculous that you guys may not find out your Goddard compo for most of trades week? That's crazy as it an massive bargaining chip for you.
