Letting their offer sit untill the last day is one thing, but knocking back the actual offer is another.

Saints 2nd rounder is better than swans 2nd rounder. And the bidding could take it anywhere. I hope your not going to be too peeved if we end up with swans 2nd rounder as well as malceski or another worthwhile player.
Better still we could end up with swans 1st rounder. Roos does alot to please his senior group and they want Spida.

While Sydney increased its bid with an offer of its second-round pick, selection 33, Hawthorn continued to insist on that pick plus Sydney's third-round one in exchange for Everitt and a fourth-round selection. The Swans baulked at that and Sydney coach Paul Roos flew home last night convinced that Everitt will have to make his way to them in the pre-season

Wow didnt realise the trading of late picks was going to be in our favour.
Their 3rd is 49, our 4th is 56, really that's not worth anything. Pelchen get 33 and get out.

This is hilarious. The highs and lows of the Everitt deal are being riden by all Hawk fans. Some are screaming to take whatever is on offer and run. Some are applauding the hard tactics by the Hawthorn admin.
I'm in the later camp. With the new Sainters coach, Lyon, saying he's after a ruckman, it looks like Pelchen has gone to the river card and flipped a card to complete the straight.
If nothing else, it's certainly entertaining. Wish I was a fly on the wall inside the trade talks.

This is the most boring trade week I can remember.
It's about time we organized 'Trade Hour', or better yet, 'Survivor: Trade Week'.
Throw them all onto some obscure polynesian island and tell them to sort out their differences soon or the cannibals will be set onto them.
We can get FoxSports to cover it - with Dean Jones as commentator as well.

I just heard on SEN that hawthorn has offered up Chance Bateman as part of the Thornton deal. This better not be the case, i'd take Chance ahead of Thornton anyday.
Also, Carlton arent taking any calls from Hawthorn. Hawthorn have even put there number out on the radio asking carlton to call them in regards to Thornton.

Thornton is an average defender and worth no more than pick 24.
If we trade Bateman, Brown, Osborne (names which have been thrown up) I'll be a very disgruntled fan and won't be buying a membership.

Its all good, Hawthorn has just called SEN and told them those rumours are wrong and can asure all Hawthorn supporters that Chance will not be traded.

I really hope you're joking, because as much as i would like Thornton at Hawthorn there is no way i would give up Changa for him....where did you hear this, was it a reliable source???

Please we're more than capable of developing our own hack FB. I don't see why we need to poach Carltons and overpay him at the same time.
Interesting Trivia. Collingwood and Hawthorn are the only 2 teams to have never had an aboriginal player reach 100 games. Bateman will be Hawthorns first Aboriginal player to the mark just ahead of Williams.
