The problem with the zone is it requires a lot of football smarts. You need to know when to leave your man and cover, or stay and protect the space. Our team is young and the zone is the last thing we should be implementing in their development.

I think next week there will be a major shift in philosophy. If bucks has half a brain, he will go back to contested football. We have one of the youngest teams in the comp and we have chosen to play a zone. It verges on insanity.

Having said that... If buckley wants our team to go through a learning curve to speed up their development then he may choose to persist with the zone. But Bucks is a smart man. If he wants to keep his job he will make the changes.

They Footy Department looking Terrible and even some Trades in the Past have not been Great.

The Whole club looks very stale.

There has to be big Changes at Club and I go as High as Pert and Eddie (And His Mates and Yes Men)

Crikey mate, what's wrong with you? I don't post here much but I do read a lot, and I love my Pies like we all do. But most times I come on here there is a new 'Roast' thread and odds are that it's you who has started it.

Please try to bite your lip a bit and suck it up sometimes, or at least have reasoned discussion. Please stop simply abusing the club or our players or our coaches or our media department etc etc - look for the positives, please. It kinda ruins the fun of reading in here (and in every other Collingwood forum btw) when I keep seeing this stuff from you.

We're all on the same side here man, no need to make us feel worse about it.

The Pies do seem to need to at least tweak their team tactics as teams are scoring too easily against us. I agree it's concerning, but there are a lot of variables at play with our start to the season and a discussion of those is more pertinent rather than a series of purely negative posts I would've thought.

Buckley swept out the rat pack because of culture and then engendered a drug culture where between 8 and 11 players are taking illicit drugs during the offseason and two taking PEDS during the season.

Nothing has improved since 2011.

I'm no Buckley fan at the moment but you'd have to be stupid to think the 'rat pack' and others from the Malthouse era weren't snorting lines every week during his tenure. It's just that nobody gave a shit back then.

It's almost as if we are in the middle of a rebuild and have a lot of young players that need to mature before they can implement a game plan

Stop using the were young bullshit.
Yeah we have some young players out there but so does every side, there is plenty of experience out there, Pendlebury, Cloke, Reid, Brown, Goldsack, Greenwood, Blair, Howe. Even guys like Trelaor, Adams, Crisp, Grundy aren't first year players.
