Yes definately trading out the highest scoring defender in the game.

But not this week I have bigger fish to fry, I gotta trade out Ablett, Franklin, Brown and Cox first.

Seriously do you guys have any idea?

Im finding it hard to tell whether people are being sarcastic or not:confused:
My mate traded Cornes -> Shaw, his reason being he is sick of Chad's low scores:rolleyes::D

Another aspect of Cornes to consider...will he be playing late rnds or finals for your list ?

Port are gone for the season after last week...barring some sort of miracle run.

If Chadley is in genuine need of knee work and Port out of the race then there's every chance Chad finishes up by round 19-20...and u lose at least one vital late trade on someone u hadnt allowed for.

But if you trade him now, you are using that trade anyway so I think keep Cornes until there is something set in stone. IF he does have the surgery and he is out for 4-5 weeks, then think about trading him. That's what the final 4-5 trades are for, to account for LTI's.

If Chadwick keeps playing like the Chadwick "I Duck MY Head" Cornes....he's going to drop in price by 20k and then he`ll decide to have surgery. SO im trading him out now to maximise his worth. S Fisher is a fair swap....with some upgrade money to get birchal next week :thumbsu:

Not sure if you meant Chadwick "I take huge flying marks over Brendan Fevola in the goalsquare with an injured knee and a broken finger" Cornes. But this is the Dream Team forum so...

The advantage of the fact that he 'needs surgery' rather than 'is in doubt' means you are likely to know when he will stop playing. My plan is hold him until then, trade him down to Birchall because my backline emergencies are useless (Edwards and Selwood) and then use the extra money to ensure that Ibbotson becomes Bartel instead of Hodge, Goodes or West.

Its why the decision is difficult and a few (not me) will make it either way THIS week.

Not many in contention to win have the "final 4-5 trades" you're talking about with only 2-3 weeks to go. To stay in the hunt at the end 2 maybe 3 is all the top 20 will have by about rnd 19....then hold on and hope for the best with a cpl for injuries over the last cpl of rnds.

I'm not saying sell the guy...simply raising the issue that Port being gonners doesnt help. We dont have enough info about his supposed knee problem to decide as yet so its best to hold him. If we discover he's out for 4-5 weeks i'd add 2 games to get back to matchfitness as well ...making 6-7 weeks of pain at the wrong time of yr.

Should know more next week and get an eyeful of him this week. If they announce surgery next week for "4-5 weeks" no way i'd keep him...rnd 20 b4 he's scoring well again.

chances are its all just crAp anyway and he's fine.

So it safe enough to presume he is going to play this week though? I know that certainly doesn't guarantee a big score but it means not having to trade this very round.... as for the future, yeah, we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

I think its a no brainer really.

If you have Chad in your team, you keep him. That simple. Chad always gets an odd 50 even when fully fit. Plus he's had a 90 and a 70+ in the last few weeks so his scores arent terrible. You'd be an absolute fool to get rid of him.

However, if you are one of the few who dont have him, i would not be picking him up.

1. His price has way more to come down.
2. He is no certainty to play
3. His season will most likely go to around r19 or 20 then he'll be given the last 2 weeks off.

I'll be hanging onto him as long as possible. Im reserving a trade for both Cornes and Cox who i think will have shortened seasons. But in the meantime their scores are still going to be better than anyone else in the position.

If you have Chad in the midfield...then you have a decision to make. But then again, starting Chad in the midfield was a mistake to begin with anyway.

There's SOME doubt but no more than we've had on other guys regularly.

Not only am i expecting him to play but he goes well against geelong...u can chew it over for days and get nowhere with the decision.

If he doesnt play his price doesnt fall anyway...if he does play he might make 100+ anyway.

I'd worry about others before Chad. Not enough information to support any conclusions yet. Relax and forget about him...with the information currently available it would be a mistake to trade him THIS week simply to potentially save just 20K. You'd kick yaself if he gets 100 after trading him out.

Also have to taken in consideration that hes last 2 scores was similiar to his average vs carlton and better than his average vs sydney. The more i read into this knee issue the more i think its bs
