Great reports! Thanks for that.

Playing group and officials are on 9.30am AirNZ flight this Wednesday. Rendezvous at Melb Airport at 7.30. Meant to be a surprise but I say they're going to Wellington. Have a telecon this evening with a group of players and others to "explore" how I can assist with their mysterious activities in NZ. If I get a chance to share some commentary of the NZ activities I will do so if anyone interested.

Delidio ........ All Class true proffesional
Cotchin ....... All Silk '' ''
Mratin ......... What A Machine (cant believe this kid is 19)

Rance ......... alot of people bag him about his kicking , awareness , Reading of the play. Today i can tell you EVERY kick hit its mark & looked as good as any other player on the ground. Really hope this kid makes it his work ethic, profesionalism, presentation, endeavour & enthusiasm is 2nd to none.

The same goes for Gourdis as well, with 2 more years of development into these boys along with Grimes & Astbury our defence could be a real unit.

I've never had a problem with his kicking. It's usually spot on. Only at tigerland would you have supporters knocking a promising player. As long as he keeps working on his overhead marking he'll be a bit of a weapon with his size and height. Wouldn't mind seeing him in the midfield occasionally

Can I be honest players always sound like they are gunning it pre season. everyone always hits targets because it is trainign. Hate to be the pesimist because i hope he makes it but Rances kicking needs to improve under the pressure of game day not training. Thanks for the updates and I should be able to give some good insight into the NZ trip as I know someone who is going.

Good work guys.
I was also down there today from about 10 am. not a great deal to ad to Nugz fine report.
I was there just a bit earlier and saw most of those in the rehab group partake in non contact drills.
Conca did the handball work before he ran laps. Hands looked clean and don't think I saw him fumble. Not much of the lad though it must be said. Plenty of time for that..

Houli on the other hand is ripped. His triceps have to be seen to be believed.
Has a magnificent kick on him too. Hopefully he makes the most of his time at Tigerland.

Positives for me today were Rance(kicking was sound), Contin & Connors(look very fit), Dusty & Cotch (silk as said) & of the new boys Helbig caught my eye..

A hot day indeed!

Thanks for the collaborative effort with the training reports and pics!

On Rance's kicking - I have always thought he had a nice kick. It's his inability to find time and space and be calm under pressure which decreases his effectiveness. Rance tends to run straight ahead and looks good when things are open infront of him but when things aren't he runs into trouble. He will benefit from the improved game plan and needs to learn how to back peddle and find and easy option.

Did Connors do the warm up ToO? i didnt see him at all so just presumed he was pumping iron!
I forgot to ask Jack about him and only remembered after i had walked back to my seat!

Yeh i agree on Rance, his kicking was magnificent today, we just need to see how he goes under pressure to see if he has improved. :thumbsu:

Yes mate on the far side of the ground just after 10 am when I was walking in they were running some drills and I'm sure Dan was taking part. Looked good and hitting targets regularly.

Agree re Rance. We can only hope cause he sure looks the part at training.

Ohh ok yeh I didnt get there till about 10:25 so I must have miss Dan! Aslong as he's looking good that what I wanna hear!

Yeh spot on with Rance, he looks like gold at training just needs to put into action on game day!

Good stuff guys! Keep it up :thumbsu:

Trying to think constructively here.

Would Rance not have these issues if he played in a different position. I haven't been as critical of him as some. I have always had a bit of time for him and this is a big year for Rance coming up in 2011.

I hope he gets the best out of himself like all our players!

Pretty accurate reports on today's training.
Martin, Cotch, Lids, Newy, Rance stood out for me today in a good 2 hour session. The draftee's all look like they will be OK, Macca very unfit, Conca recent surgery the others fairly good knick considering the time of the year! Xman looks just about ready to go, pretty good pace and size.
Go TIGERS.........:thumbsu:

Ok. I've heard that he drifts in and out of games, that when he is on he is very talented but he isn't always on. If this is directly related to fitness, and he is able to get fit, we have made a great pick. Yes?

Yeh I reckon it would be! He kicked a beautiful goal on the run from about 45 out on the boundary at the start of training when I was walking in!
If he builds up his fitness he will be a very dangerous high hhf IMO!

In saying that it was bloody hot today so I'd expect a young bloke to run out of steam pretty quick, but compared to the other draftees he was trailing them by abit of a margin!
Looks good though! The ink on his arm really stands out so we all will defiantly notice him!

We just need to get him fit and long term he will be one of the goal "spread" players. Precisely what we need.
