With Chris Tarrant gone and Sean Rusling now out, I was just wondering how Pie supporters think he will go this year. Will he be permanent Full Forward and get good gametime?

Totally. He will require Rocca to stay fit as otherwise he will be our main focal point and thus attract a lot of attention. I'm backing him for a big year.

as a dream team prospect he is a very good option

will play as the hit up CHF, so should get plenty of marks, has also been doing very well in the pre-season.

probably the best value collingwood player in terms of dreamteam

Thanks.. yea I guess you figured I'm talking about DreamTeam... I was deciding between Dale Thomas and Travis Cloke but I recon Cloke is ready for a big year too.. will be a good player for the Pies this year.. :thumbsu: hopefully not when you play Geelong though :p

The only Collingwood players' I've selected are...T.Cloke, Pendlebury, Thomas and Fraser.

Hoping for a big year from these guys.

only bloke i have in at the moment is t.cloke

want to put in pendles

and thinking about putting in l.davis as it seems he will be given more time on the ball, and was playing that role fairly well last year before injuring himself

bit of a punt on leon perhaps

I'm definately a 'pro-Leon' Collingwood supporter, and I love having him on our list. But I don't know if he would be a very good dreamteam/supercoach prospect, for some reason.

Maybe I still regard him as inconsistent, although I know he was very good last year.

Only got Shaw, Cloke and Thomas (because of Brown's injury) in SC. May trade Thomas still for Neon Leon...they're the only ones at the price range I am looking at.

As for Dream Team, i'm not really as focused as SC, however i got Pebbles :p

Clearly the best Collingwood selections are Cloke and H. Shaw. They are also out two best up and coming players. Alot rests on there shoulders this year.

He wont play full forward, Rocca will be the goal square gorilla and Cloke will be the mobile CHF, as it should be

Very true, Cloke will be the lead up forward and get alot more of the ball the Rocca. I expect big things from clearly the most talented Cloke.

I have been saying this since travis started with the pies. This is the year, barring any injury that Travis will show the footy world why the pies considered him the best of the cloke bros.He will take games apart.Malthouse should let the guy play his NATURAL game.Run like hell and use that boooooooming left foot.Gee Malthouse stuffs up players all the time, that's why we can't win a flag.Another example is ryan lonie.
The guy keeps getting criticised all the time why?Because malthouse always plays him out of position.MALTHOUSE ! do not play lonie in the friggin backline,he gets taken up the ground, and gets taken out of the play.D.....head,play him on the wing and leave him there. Here we are desperate for goal kickers and he wastes lonie in the backline. Here malty, lonie on the wing, davis in the centre, ball gets delivered to lonie booms it long ...goal...or puts it down one of the forwards throat...mark..goal....it's soooooo simple even a supporter like me can work it better than you mate!Leave davis in the centre and midfield,he's got the capacity to play out most of the game there, and you'll see a new faster collingwood side malthiouse you d...head.It's really simple if you it's not rocket science!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL well I guess Im VERY pro-Collingwood then. Ive got;

Heath Shaw
Ben Johnson
Scott Pendlebury
Travis Cloke
Brad **** (emergency)

Josh Fraser
Leon Davis

For DT its goto be pendles, there is something about him, i just hope MM plays him in the middle, and not do what he used todo to some players and blood them in the backline.. Why would you try and mess with a players attacking instincts when they are a natural attacker.. I remember seeing dale down back once thinking **** is he going to ruin the development of this kid too. Give them a defensive side, its a total joke and ruins their natural game.

I've got all these players in my 1st 22:

Johnson (M): Doesn't seem to be a popular pick but I think he'll rack up the stats this year.
Pendlebury (M): A popular pick.
Thomas (F): Sorta expensive but I think he will build on his 1st year. Unlike many 1st year players that come undone in the 2nd year, he has already experienced being marked pretty tightly. I think he will kick more goals this year too, despite perhaps being used up the ground more.

I've got these players:

James Clement - The best defender in the game. A safe bet.
Scott Pendlebury - Set for a breakout year.
Travis Cloke - A big pre-season and has filled out.

Absolutely, 100% correct. Lonie should only EVER play on the wing sweeping forward with his penetrating kicking. It's his greatest asset.

I must admit i also took Josh, is it just me or will josh have to play his biggest season yet. And if he plays forward the points should roll in. Thats my philosophy on Josh.

mmmm, I think that might be too many from one side.

I think you're right..

But..
Heater, high points scorer this year.
Johnson, consistent high possession getter
Pendles, we all know there are huge raps on him
Trav, key to our forward line
Rocca, same as Trav
Fraser, Has to have a big year for us to succeed
Magic, Break through season in the midfield
****, Just for fun, an emergency, my brother told me he should play some games this year.

I guess I just realised that Ive selected this players in the hope that Collingwood will have a big year, not I will in the Dreamteam/Supercoach

they are all good players, its just their probably would have been some better ones for DT SC in their respected price range. I think neon leon is a really good smokey and could well be worth a punt. I thought about rocca, but pfft. Trav is definatly worth the money in his price range. And you cannot go wrong with Josh for his price.
