I love how all clubs say we are hard to deal with. We are offering a very good deal and GWS are apparently being campaigners. We gave them their best and fairest so we should have a good trading history with them

That's correct, it was reported by Treloar's manager Adam was happy to stay until he saw the contract offer was below par so he decided to leave.

Sooner or later we will get supporters from the Northern States who know what they're talking about. Wouldn't be holding our breath however. Greg Denham on SEN has just said GWS CEO Matthews promised Treloar to Richmond and because the deal with Collingwood is imminent he doesn't like it and it is the reason for the hold up

IF this Dave Matthews Band stuff is in fact true then it would explain the padding out of the trade. I think inevitably it will happen but the longer it is stalled the more Matthews can save face.

If it drags on to lunch time tomorrow then I think we should step away from negotiations and think long and hard about the pick 7 in ND route. GWS can then stew on it over the weekend. It is riskier but would end up being cheaper. Is there anyone in the draft that would take him before that pick?

As much as I would love Treloar to fall to the pre season draft for us it would be also disappointing, he wants to be at Collingwood and the picks offered are well and truly enough. Hope it gets done today as it should have a domino effect.
