You'd think that seeing this happened just before Christmas the club would have released a Statement then and there rather then waiting until now?

Re: Trengrove

Who hasn't done something silly as an 18 year old under the influence of a bit of alcohol. He has been dealt with appropriately by the club and apologised to those he offended. Time to move on.

.... On a lighter note at least he didn't break bones in each of his hands due to stupidity :thumbsu:
Actually the true story is that Trengrove is very safety conscious and he and some of his mates decide to get a lift across the pub's car-park to their cars sitting on the boot of a car. Trengrove pushed the back windscreen out so they could put their legs inside the vehicle and hang on to the roof so that they wouldn't fall off when the car went over a speed bump. :)

Why? They probably only released a statement because it got out.

As if it wasn't going to get out. It's not a big deal anyway the kid's young - just would've made sense to have it done and dusted over the Christmas period

That is my take on it. The club wouldn't put out a press release every time some young player, or any player for that matter, is involved in a minor indiscretion. It is only once the media gets hold of it that the club needs to release a statement to get the facts out there.

Depends on when he told the club. They players and staff didn't get back until the 5th so they couldn't worked out a penalty for him and counseled him before that anyway. The story said it happened prior to christmas ie between 22nd to 24th.

i'm still trying to figure out how the OP can have that username and follow the crows and not collingwood. .....
Well he is over on the Crows board having a cry about the way he has been treated by the stuck up fans on this board

Poor pet

what has it got to do with you. i would be more concerned about some of your own dimwitted players who have offended in recent times, including breaking arms/wrists when skylarking. A bit of advice-stay on your own board.

Ease up buddy, all he did was post an article about a Port player on the relevent board, informing the supporters of said club.

No need to take offense.

On the subject matter, sounds like he was just being young and went a bit silly. as long as noone is hurt, the property is fixed, all done and dusted.

He'll be better for the experience. Is he on the track for you guys yet?

No he did more than that. He made some stupid claim about stupidity and our club, conveniently forgetting the stupidity of players at his/your club. It was an attempt to troll not to inform. That's why some of his comments and a couple of responses were edited out as I pointed out at post # 10.

All I saw was what's there now.

Has he started physical contact training as yet?

No he's still doing running, although one training report said he joined in some sort of group activity the other day, but I don't think it was physical contact stuff.

If anything it's a good time for it to happen. Imagine being told in no uncertain terms by a group that he is still in awe of... He'd have been scared and this will have made the best impression possible. What we need is for someone like Broges to just tap him on the shoulder and "ask him how he's going" a couple of times over the next year or so when applicable.

In his AA interview on Monday Choco said Trengove did a lot more work with the squad that day and was impressive. Today he was back to running the boundary, stretching the hammy, doing some reflex work with the footies. So he's still being eased into the workload.

Yet fryingpan and Roosterlad call us obsessed?

At least Symes once had something to do with our club.

This would certainly work for me if it was me in Trengoves place
