Anyone seen/heard anything about this star from the western suburbs?
I've heard top 30 pick for sure.
Few clubs have already spoken to him about his future.

Should star at any AFL club

Oh yes, i was waiting for someone to throw his name up.
I've been playing with and against Bondy for years now and have always admired his application.
The ideal prototype for AFL football, he can influence games with his pace, strength and constructive talk.
A dark horse...but top 30 isn't out of the question. Word is that Richmond are hot on his heels.

I don't want to give his exact location...Buttt

I do know he plays on a TAC cup side based on the WESTERN side of Melbourne.

Anyone else got anymore information about the kid? Pendlebury 10?

Well i personally have heard the name thrown around in conversation.Decided to go take a look for myself, liked what i saw.The kids got talent, pace looks like he knows the way of the game. Doesn't doubt himself backs him and his team mates up. He definitely has a future in the game.

In another thread I heard this kid - if indeed I'm talking about the right person - goes to a school in South Yarra... I took particular notice because it happened to be the school I attended several years ago. It's been a while since a kid with serious football potential passed through those corridors!

Look, Bond seems all class and he should go on to become a fine footballer.

But this choda chap has no idea.

Are you talking about that red-haired fullback? The one with laughable co-ordination, seemingly limited experience and a general lack of skill? Look, as far as I'm concerned the furtherst that bloke will go is the pakenham twos, if he's lucky.

The MHS team is decent, but when it comes to APS, MHS doesn't have the resources to challenge. It's as simple as that.

Maybe in badmintion and chess, but not Australian rules football.

yerr from what ive heard his the best player thats been there since cam bruce all those years ago.

now thats sayin somethin. but still gunna be hard to go on with it like bruce has.

Well it is and it isn't... MHS does not abound with exponents of AFL that are likely to make it professionally. To this point, the best player they had since (or around the same time of) Bruce would probably be Rupert Betheras... off the top of my head .

Yeah good luck to the kid, he'll need it.

Yeah Claude Balls, word on the grape vine is that that particular schools intermediates (year 9-10s) from last year (2007) were a forced to be reckoned with including one very fine full back, good future for the school in South Yarra if i do say so myself.

I certainly hope so... those of us who were half decent at sport always found it disappointing how indifferently the administration viewed sporting prowess amongst the students. I've heard the current principal has a more favourable approach, and has even incorporated sporting scholarshipis in order to improve the schools performance

Ha ha too true. However, hopefully what I was referring to above changes this at least to some degree.

Look 'roy', he may be a muppet of the highest order, but that just adds to his on-field persona. Have you seen the kid play? He can turn it on in a matter of seconds. Some call him 'fire-starter'. The comparisons between him and Cam Bruce are ridiculous, as Cam Bruce never had as much potential as Bond at this level. Under the right guidance and nurturing of his talent, this kid could be the next big thing. He's got a strong set of dukes, his acceleration and pace are blistering, and his vision+delivery into the Forward 50 is just classy.

Btw, this chodadude seems like a right joke.

The school doesn't have scholarships. However, there is assisted entry provided to kids who can play sport, the likes of Trent Bond being one of them. I'm relatively sure that this has been common practice since before the time of the current administration. Was it a Willis-led initiative?

Choda, it's not hard to get punched mate when you have flaming red hair. Not the most useful of skills, especially down Pakenham way.

Look, you can throw the names of Hendy, Morton, Hamilton-Ho, Picollo, Athaide, Bisetto, etc around but at the end of the day, MHS football is about the man in question, Trent Bond. VSSSA hopes revolve around Bond getting the ball. The kid is that good.

Rumours have it that this Trent Bond kicked a lazy 6 from the centre, I don't care who you are a performance like that deserves some recognition, put quite simply it was a masterclass of how to play australian rules footy. This kid could be anything.

I also heard the name Berry bandied around the block as well, but he is clearly not in the same league as Bond. Has no athleticism, class, work ethic. All in all he is the polar opposite to the phenomenon we know as Trent Bond.

i play with bondy .. and im sure he wont mind me sayin that top 30 would be a massive acheivement.. the bloke didnt get a game tac cup round one when he was eligible.. saying this though .. he has great pace, good height, neat skills and a good work rate.. he will definately be a good asset wherever he plays his footy though top 30 will be a massive acheivement.

I must say people, i really feel like an accomplished footballer now that all my fans are expressing their appreciation for the T BOND phenomenon. Recognition really inspires me to play better footy, so Ivanhoe Grammar, watch out tomorrow there is much more to expect from T BOND. As my idol Sam Newman has always told me, " T BOND, you have the potential to captivate the nation and be the best thing that has happened to football since the creation of the football itself"

Too far.

Is there a junior Hamilton-Ho?! And Bisetto isn't the son of Mr Bisetto, also known as Biceps Bisetto, or The Shnozz, is he??? That would be too funny.

And yes, there was assisted entry to kids who could play sport whilst Willis was in charge. I'm not sure if he initiated it or whether it harks back even further. The reason why I thought the school had adopted a scholarship program was that Luderick, or Ludowick (whatever his name is), adressed us at a reunion a few years back and made a vague reference to it. I did think it was unlikely, so I'm not surprised to hear it's actually not the case.

MHS has done quite well in the VSSSA before. It's just the private schools that we can't compete with.

Yes there is a junior ham-ho, coined Chief, and Bisetto is the son of.. Mr. Bisetto. Bisetto is on the Calder Cannons Tac Cup side as an underage along with Berry.

also i think that given it's chance MHS would do quite well in the APS.
i mean look at recent results; last season we lost to Marcellin by 3 points; (where Trent Bond dominated) and beat Inanhoe by 50 odd points and as of last week MHS defeated Camberwell grammer by 70 0dd points and of a win today over ivanhoe by 12 pts
