I'm sure Koch & Hinkley are nothing but AFL people who have no actual interest in us being anything other than a nice, quiet, agreeable, fund raisers for the mighty Victorian Clubs. Hinkley doesn't even care anymore judging by his pressers, just goes through the motions.

Surely you had to appeal that? Even arguing the grading to hopefully get in down from 2 to 1.

My god we are such a weak, nothing club at the moment.

Is it any wonder why we regularly get weak performances from our side when our whole leadership seem to live by that.

Just more disappointment to add to the ever increasing list.

It's frustrating but there was absolutely no point arguing this. 0% chance of having it overturned.

A better option would literally be Koch mouthing off on sunrise about the disparity in MRP determinations and to cop the fine that way.

I reckon the Crows knew that there was zero chance the McAdam decision would be overturned too, but they still publicly backed in their player and gave it a crack. At Port, we just give up when it gets hard. The $10k would have been worth it for player morale.

I bet that when Ryan comes back, he comes back listless. The club didn't back him, why should he be excited to represent the club? Why should he put his body on the line for a club that wouldn't put $10k on the line for him?

There are better ways to support Burton than setting $10k on fire for him. I assume the decision was made in consultation with him. We haven't had issues recently with players failing to put their bodies on the like and I don't think that will suddenly start happening.

What would be smart would be getting our media mouthpieces to slam the inconsistency of the MRP, and talk about how the MRP grading isn't in line with recent incidents but we had no recourse because of the fact that they don't take into account precedence.

If the AFL were so concerned about mitigating the effects of head injuries why aren’t they mandating protective head coverings for all players?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m certainly not an advocate of such a blanket policy approach but it does make you wonder.

probably because head coverings do nothing to prevent concussions
