Looks good, but I'd try making the font Sans Serif.

I don't know how anyone dislikes the A-League one. It's clear, simple, and depicts the right information: Time, teams, scores, club colours. It's not intrusive either. Plus it manages to utilise gold and orange, the colours of the league. So much better than the generi-blue.
I like the design, but I don't like the colours used. Maybe use team colours?

Yep interesting that they've changed the score bug 3 weeks in. Not massively different but noticeable. It's no longer consistent with the rest of the graphics but looks good still.

This (Friz Quadrata) would work if KFC was the major sponsor.
Helvetica/Arial is OK but looks dull here. It's not dynamic enough. Eurostile/Microgramma might fit better: it has straightness like Fox's current font, but it's got better curves.

What font was the Channel 9 one and Channel Ten IIRC had FF Din as their scoreboard font.

Yeah, I think what they did with the logos are great.
Though I'd like to see a black, silver and red colour scheme instead of red and blue.

yeah after a decade they should mix it up a bit, positioning of scoreboard is perfect though
