Why? PL puts the coverage together
I assume that would be illegal. With the PL bidding a closed process one has to wonder why all of these companies didn't think of working together to keep the bidding down.
Reality is PL is screened during off peak times so advertising revenue is always going to be poor. This should be reflected in the TV rights deal.
Sounds like Optus are over it and are looking to move on. Dazn buying them out could be a good thing as it would go to Kayo in that case.
I assume that would be illegal.
In what way? What's the issue with working together on bidding?
Collusion? In what way? What's the issue with working together on bidding?
Cartels
A cartel exists when businesses agree to act together instead of competing with each other. It’s illegal for businesses to agree to act together in a cartel instead of competing.www.accc.gov.au
Collusion?
How is this not a service? That only applies to supply of goods and services.
That only applies to supply of goods and services.
You do understand the difference between businesses working together to keep costs of purchasing goods & services down vs business colluding in keeping costs supplying goods & services high yeah? How is this not a service?
You say that but if it was so obvious (as you're enjoying making out), why would that not have happened? You do understand the difference between businesses working together to keep costs of purchasing goods & services down vs business colluding in keeping costs supplying goods & services high yeah?
The first is normal business practice. The second is illegal.
Go the post, not the poster hey mate. You've turned into a troll over the last few weeks, I don't think you're this stupid.
You say that but if it was so obvious (as you're enjoying making out), why would that not have happened?
But no, collusion works both ways I believe. Happy for someone to prove me wrong there.
Interestingly the kayo freebies and content that is shared with fta (seven mainly) is now also on bingeMy annoyance with Stan is you have to sign up for their 'regular' package and only then can you add on Sport.
Optus, Kayo you only have to sign up for sport.
Similarly if you have no interest in sport there is Binge, Britbox etc.
Foxtel had a drop off in subscribers so they offered 'tailored' packages such as Kayo & Binge.
I currently happily subscribe to Bein, Kayo and Optus because they offer what I want to watch (and handily I'm also with Optus as my telco).
If I had to subscribe to Stan's basic package to watch PL/FA Cup I'll get my canoe out.
