Episode Eight of 'Twin Peaks:The Return' was the greatest episode of the greatest show ever. It's been a while now and I've had time to reflect on the programme and it grows in the mind.

The good Cooper's escape from the Black Lodge in Episode Three was a tour de force of avant garde film making and it was great to see Phoebe Augustine (Ronette Pulaski) as the "American Woman". I always fancied her the most of all the 'Twin Peaks' girls. Then Episode Eight came along and superseded even Episode Three for supreme abstract wonder. The birth of evil,BOB, and the avenging angel(or sacrifice)Laura. Then the supernatural hobos and the spooky incantation.

I hope and pray for another dose of Lynch controlled 'Twin Peaks'. The ending opened up a host of possibilities.

Is S02 really good? Just seems a lot of episodes of the same sort of thing and I'm struggling through it a bit.

What Jack said. The first half a dozen or so episodes are great, the middle 10 or so are OK to terrible. The last half a dozen or so are epic.

This, IMO, is one of the greatest scenes ever from a TV show.

That was one of my favourite episodes and the last one. "What year is this"

supernatural hobos were scary ....."gotta a light"

Did anyone attend the Twin Peaks talk this year? It was pretty good though Lynch, Sabrina Sutherland and the actors do not reveal much about the storyline or ending.
It was cool to hear the Hawk talk, interesting and likeable guy.

One can only hope. Had withdrawal symptoms about a week ago. Not sure anything can fill the void of it. I probably should not expect it either.
Lynch is getting on. I cannot see him doing more on it, as much as I may wish it to come true.

What year is it ?

A couple of things on the rewatch that still do my head in (up to episode 12)

The crazy honking horn woman with the exorcist kid in the passenger seat who is late for dinner with a long lost uncle

Audrey Horne/the whole Billy storyline

It seems like these could be part of alternate timelines? One thing I noticed was the Deputy Jesse Holcomb appeared in that scene (honking woman) saying he was at Big Eds Gas Farm and heard shots ring out. He's then in another scene shortly after at the Sheriff's Department and walks in on Truman and Hawk to ask if they want to see his new car. So it seems there are alternate timelines being shown concurrently. Could be one of the explanations for Sarah's freakout in the grocery store (something's different) and the changing RR Diner patrons when Bing opens the door and yells "has anyone seen Billy?" if the timelines are starting to collapse in on themselves.

Another thing I've read is regarding the druggy mum (keeps saying "1-1-9") and her kid in Vegas who witnesses Dougies car blow up - shes talking backwards which indicates a lodge presence so she's probably on Sparkle, the two junkie chicks in the Roadhouse in a later episode refer to zebra/panda (black and white animals) in reference to the drug which indicates a link to the lodges. But the woman and young boy are reminiscent of the Tremonds/Chalfonts, could there be a link there?

Can't wait to get to the last two episodes.

I've yet to build up the courage to watch the whole thing a second time yet. Not sure when I can.

I've been meaning to all year just had to wait til I could invest the time to do so.

There's some decent podcasts out there that might whet the appetite, the Counter Esperanto one is great and easy to get through as they deal with the episodes in 4 episode blocks.

Sparkwood & 21 and Diane are two others I've given a listen to

Another time discrepancy - Bobby Briggs comes into the RR Diner and joins Ed and Norma for dinner. Bobby tells Ed they found the note from his dad Major Briggs that day but it has been a number of episodes/days since that happened. At the end of that episode Ed is shown at his gas farm drinking a soup and coffee on his own in a takeaway container from the RR. The next episode Truman, Briggs, Hawk & Andy go out to the woods and find Naido, the vortex and Andy visits the Fireman. But when they found the note it gave soecific dates/times which were 2 days away.

There is either alternate timelines/realities being shown, scenes are being shown out of order or alternate timelines/realities are collapsing in on each other.

Yeah, I am certain there are a lot of podcasts out there but they not what interests me to watch. It is watching with my own perceptions and filters that makes the whole thing so compelling from first time went to cinema and saw it in 1990's and again mid last year when found out could watch this stuff released on Stan.

I got The Return on Bluray for Xmas there's 6 hours of extras on there so gonna get stuck into that over the next few weeks. Finished rewatching it a couple of weeks back still gotta rewatch the last 2 eps again I think, what a head****.

Richard/Linda/Carrie
What year is this?
Alice Tremond/Chalfonts

Apparently at Carries house there is a VHS copy of Twin Peaks pilot there, will have to keep an eye out when watching again.

Finally got around to watching this, i gotta say i'm a little disappointed, having just finished the first season, i've enjoyed parts of the show, cooper is a great character, sherilyn fenn is interesting and quite sexy at times and ray wise is great.

I've enjoyed the weirdness in parts, the dream sequence was great and have enjoyed the unconventional police practices with the bird and basing detective work around dreams, one eyed jacks is an interesting venue too, the mystery aspect surrounding laura and how no one really knew her.

I haven't enjoyed leo or more specifically the actor who plays him, he is distractingly bad in this role and is laughable as the bad guy, this feels like a soap opera at times as well which i have not enjoyed that angle and have been bored at times throughout this, i don't know i guess i was expecting more from this as it's very highly regarded and while it's been good in parts it's been bad in others, it seems very much a mixed bag to me.

Still lots of questions linger in the mind about this weird shit experienced.
Many not logical questions too.... ha ha.. but anyway browsing sports stuff on youtube and seen this recommended as an upload and will check out fully later but on a minutes viewing does look a well made production so bookmarked to myself to watch later and thought share link here for the diehards that always return to The Return...

What year is it ?

For those who haven't checked out the Counter Esperanto podcast, do so. They talk about a lot of different weird fiction and ran through the return when it was released with approximately 1 episode for every 4 TV eps.

Diane podcast is also a good one, they are doing a rewatch and do 1 episode for a TV ep then 1 episode for a theme

I didn't see Judy last night! But Go Tigers!!
She was there. Trust me, that is why you won. :p
Ohhh and I thought Judy would be there wearing orange
You should be feeling her presence.
I don't know about Judy but 2017 has been great, thanks to:

Richmond!!!
Twin peaks season 3
It's Judy, trust me.
It is the only explanation.
ha ha
"What year is this" what a line to end the show lol
It has not ended and the Judy influence on the world is even more obvious after last Saturday...

2020 is just around the corner...
