We wouldn't be expecting him to come for free if he goes at all.
We were never gonna let him walk unless the offer was stupid level of money.
We have said many times, “we don’t overpay anyone. 700k is about right for Tyson”
If he’s taken way less than some of the reported offers from Dons and Saints to stay it shows he values the effort the club went to, to keep him in the right track and putting faith in him.
And he’s paid us in kind. Love that man, love him even more if it’s all offical.

On a serious note, it is great news. In an era where there is not a lot between 10 sides, you want to keep any match winner you have. Magic bean compo pick not worth it based on our ladder position.

It's interesting that it seems like the Saints were the only other serious bidder at the end. Choice between Geelong and St Kilda and it is a pretty easy decision.
