walking out the ground after the game today and hearing the carlton supporters winge about being robbed was a discrace along with the umpiring today. The roos recieved less free kicks and only complained once when McKernan was paid a mark by one umpire and called play on by another which resulted in a carlton goal. Why wasnt it a ball up? why didnt the umpires have control of the game? the other glaring mistake was the out of bounds on the full call which handed us the game on a plate:D. These umps needa get consistant even if it is consistanly Crap. I can see where hirdy is coming from .....

Oh - and they took a goal from us too.. someone- can't remember who (Shagga?) got the ball.. ran into goal, kicked it.. after a free kick hadn't been paid at the 50- then the umps decided to take the ball back and give us a free.. and we got a resulting behind.

Alls Well that ends Wells:D

I never worry about the umpiring if you r good enough u will beat the umpires. As for the Carlton supporters complaining about that free kick, if they had kicked those 3 shots near the end it would have been irrelevant.

Our supporters almost jumped the fence in the second quarter. The umpires were very close to losing control in the match, with little niggly things happening over the ground.

Carlton were flogging us in the free kick count, and we reserved our bronx cheers for the free kicks we finally got.

In the end we were damn lucky to kick so accurately, and I think we can't be too happy with the performance; only the result was good.

It seemed to me from the radio that we were copping the worst of it, however as with Ashley B I try to never worry about the umpiring.

The number of wrong free kicks the Carlton supporters are now claiming cost them the game is laughable.

Fusion, I reckon this is a good win for us. An easy match and it would have been easy for the squad to get a bit ahead of themselves. AS it stands I think every player out there realise that we have a long way to go.

Haven't seen replay yet as I was at the game but I could not work out why that goal was not allowed. It was a classic case of why we have an advantage rule yet the ump brought it back. He penalised North by making Harvey have a kick from outside 50.

Can't comment on the out on full decision as I couldn't tell from where I was sitting.

I have no doubt the ball hit the back of the Carlton player's foot. I had an excellent view as I was sitting in that pocket, near the front of level 2.

From what I've read/heard the Foxtel replay doesn't show the ball hitting his foot. What is up for debate is whether the ball was over the line already when it hit his foot.

Well Carlton shouldn't complain about boundary umpires. Wayne Harmes anyone?

(Plus they missed some very kickable shots late in the quarter).

Carlton player admitted that it hit his foot in aftermatch interview so that certainly isn't in question. Ump was on the spot so hard to argue with his opinion! :D
