VAR is killing the game. What's the point of having referees?Just saw the disallowed sokratis goal, that actually wasn't a foul by chambers was it? 6 of one, half a dozen of the other with the palace bloke? How does that get overturned?

What a campaigner of a situation this Xahka thing is. Absolute campaigner of a situation. He’ll have to go after that.
It’s as if we’re fighting relegation reading some of these posts.
I think getting rid of Emery right now is the priority.
Question is, who takes over?
I think the squad is better, the coach is probably worse than wenger in his decline for his last couple of seasons though, he's definitely not any better anyway. Are we in a worse position now than when we still had Wenger at the helm?
Sounds easy but really you have to be super lucky to get a long term manager, a lot of things have to go right, were more likely to churn through a few than stick with oneOne thing the Emery regime would have achieved is that we now have a circuit breaker between our future manager and Wenger. Emery IMO was never going to be a 10 year appointment, the next appointment in Arsenal's eye will hopefully be a generational manager.
Yeah the hope would be they are generational, but more than likely not.Sounds easy but really you have to be super lucky to get a long term manager, a lot of things have to go right, were more likely to churn through a few than stick with one
Saw a stat the other day that said yes.Are we in a worse position now than when we still had Wenger at the helm?
I completely understand Xhaka being sick of the criticism (even if it is valid). Booing your own captain is never going to help anything (unless that captain is a worthless campaigner like Bonucci, but fans never boo in that sort of situation). His reaction showed exactly why he shouldn't have been made captain in the first place though, no discipline at all. Nothing good will come of all this.Yes it’s now gone to a very hostile level, there’s almost no coming back from this. Disappointing scenes with the booing and the fu** off gesture/ripping off his shirt and going down the tunnel.
I must say Emery is also culpable in the situation. Shouldn’t have appointed Xhaka as captain.
This on top of the Ozil freeze out, there’s a lot simmering at Arsenal at the moment. Needs some real leaderships to move forward, and not sure we have that at senior/board level.
Yes. Aside from that run early last season when the players clearly bought in and played with freedom, Emery's gone absolutely nowhere. He's neutered any attacking potential in the side in the failed attempt to stop conceding, but all he's accomplished is to turn almost every match into a 50/50 scrap at best. You don't finish top 4 by hoping your sides makes a better fist of their few chances than the opposition. Are we in a worse position now than when we still had Wenger at the helm?
Granit go on AFTV.

I think the squad is certainly better than the one Wenger finished with. It’s been changed significantly too, but for the better overall.
Emery vs Wenger though as a direct comparison is harder to gauge.
Still wouldn’t want Mourinho. If we were to move on Emery then I’d want a considerable upgrade. Which Mourinho currently isn’t.
This feel like something you would say to make yourself feel better instead of admitting you f’ed up and made the wrong choice. Lets just call it what it is and that is he has been a ******* disaster and his appointment wasn't a case of steadying the ship or bridging the gap but rather an appointment to lead us into the future post Wenger. Of which Emery has failed big time, he hasn't added anything to the team and the areas which we were good at have gone backwards.
Not really. It was the right time to move on from Wenger and the club needed a new voice both on the pitch and off of it but the clown they appointed to replace what happens on the pitch hasn't come close to replicating an old and past it Wenger, let alone improving us.
Wouldn't say it has been a ****ing disaster, it could be a lot worse pretty easily considering the state the club was in when wenger left, emery really hasn't done much in improving or failing, we've stagnated a little, at the worst we've gone slightly backwards. In saying that though I think the squad has improved, there's things to work with. This feel like something you would say to make yourself feel better instead of admitting you f’ed up and made the wrong choice.
