Think the most interesting thing is who didn’t make the squad, Torreira, guendouzi, sokratis, mustafi, think they are all gone or at least being pushed hard to leave. Elneny staying.

Mustafi though still recovering from that hamstring injury. Still weeks away from resuming I recall. Which has just about stifled any chance of him being sold this window, the others though hopefully is a matter of time. Hope we don’t leave it too late as those funds are necessary for Partey etc.

It’d be great to finalise an exit for Mustafi somehow, but I think January is more likely for him. We’d have too many centre halves by then anyway (on paper barring other injuries) with Chambers and Mari etc also due back around the end of this year.

You’re probably right but one can dream lol 😆

Hectors run for the second goal was the highlight for me.
Hector had equal most dribble take ons for the whole game and he only played 3 minutes.

I watched the game from the 50th minute onwards and it was probably as dire a game as I've seen from Arsenal for a while. Good to the get win though, is it Liverpool in the next round?

It was ****ing terrible ! Foxes equally as dire. No crowds almost turns everything into a training session

Game didn't reach great heights, felt Luiz was immense and Saka very good.
He gets it! He f****ng gets it! I only saw half the game but Luiz looked like a completely different footballer. He played like a defender/sweeper. He knew where he was, where his players were and the opposition. When he venture beyond the back line, whether the move continued or broke down, he went stright back towards the penalty spot and quickly got back into position and was always in the right position. He didn't ball watch.

Arteta has turned him into a player. I wasn't pleasantly surprised by his performance, I was staggered!

I always felt he was never 100% up for games and it was down to Emery. I know because I’ve been in the same position.
