Season over. Decided in the summer when we ended the transfer window with a weaker squad than when it started. Complete mismanagement by Edu and Arteta. Nobody to replace Odegaard, no option when Saka not working his magic. Sterling didn’t even get off the bench. Clown show.

Nah sell ESR and loan viera, a 17 yr old kid has got this as back up to odegaard (who he doesn’t trust enough to play), was all too predictable unfortunately (robbing Peter to pay Paul with Havertz and trossard)

As I said good luck relying on set piece fc to get you through three months.. it hasn’t made two

Or you hoped he had a plan b and c which he doesn’t.. this is squarely on arteta and edu’s shoulders right here

I called this as soon as he got injured zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Lack of depth was always going to kill us

Arsenal did well initially, to adjust to his absence and still produce chance creation and managed to win some key fixtures.

The problem was that as time went on, the length of Odeegard’s injury, we haven’t shown further adjustments. The 4-2-4 in possession or 4-4-2 shape is now well known and established, and quite predictable. Exploited by Bournemouth and Newcastle away, when otherwise we’ve been imperious away in the PL in 2024.

This result was damning for me. It was beyond just the 1-0. It was how comfortable they looked, negating Arsenal time and again. Silly fouls. Sprayed passes. A general lethargy throughout and lack of intensity. Arteta has lots to ponder here.

Away to Inter mid week then away to Chelsea next weekend.

At least City lost.

Last as long in Europe as possible, gather all that money before being inevitably knocked out and maybe jag a cup. Prem is done.
I think last night has shown it’s not seen up as many think. City haven’t really looked themselves and will slip up again. Liverpool have been grinding out results but will also be prone to stumbling.

It’s on us to pull our finger out and improve and take advantage of those mishaps. At this stage, it doesn’t look like happening.

After next week’s match away to Chelsea, the fixtures should open up a little bit. By then Arsenal would have ticked off away matches to City, Villa, Spurs, Newcastle, Chelsea and it’s only early November.

Now obviously we cannot drop too far back off the pace and yes this makes the Bournemouth loss even costlier. However it’s still only November.

In late December/early January when there’s a couple of PL matches a week, all it takes is one good week for Arsenal and a bad one for Liverpool or City etc and that 7 point gap can turn into 1 or 2 points.

None of that stuff matters however if Arsenal produce inept performances like this morning though. It’s reminiscent of that run last year just before the Dubai break changed the trajectory.

Arteta needs to get this shit sorted and also has to demonstrate more tactical flexibility than he has been, if this is to be turned around in similar fashion.

Lastly it’s cute when opposition fans/lurkers start reacting to posts like on this page haha :D

Edu is leaving
