Was comical watching him see Gomes boot the ball away approx 30 minutes prior, and not send him for delaying the restart. “Something something letter of the law something something he had no choice”. ****ing gold :D

I’ll add this farcical red card to the list of decisions I’ve never seen before, and will probably be years again before I see that applied again elsewhere.

Thought Rice immense. He’s played a shitlod of minutes recently, more so out of lack of alternatives given the injuries and schedule. When down to 10 men, he stepped up yet again and provided lots of drive coming out front the back.

Very pleased with the win given the circumstances. Because otherwise the fallout would once again be around the red card and Havertz’s finishing. He missed some key chances and should’ve scored, yes. At the same time, like Rice, the load on him has been enourmous. He literally collapsed to the ground (perhaps part relief, part exhaustion) when the final whistle came.

Raya, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber and just the blokes you want on the pitch to see out a tight lead like that. Excellent win. And with Girona away mid week, comes a rare opportunity to rotate some players and give a few a chance to sit out prior to a massive home match against City next weekend in the league.

I can't be ****ed posting in the match day threads anymore.

Every blind man and his dog saying it’s not a red except posters here on bigfooty.
And they’d complain more so if it happened to their side. I don’t think it’s a conspiracy per se but any detective with half a brain would look into it.

In fairness, some Arsenal fans don’t do us any favours. Those commenting live descending into conspiracy automatically weaknesses the argument.

When you have such statistical outlier you need to start questioning the reasons behind it rather than just "ItS dArK ArTs ArSenAl"

I can't be ****ed digging deeper into it but here is the maths.

Dickheads want to post up all the red cards we've received and break them down on why they are 100% reds.

Ok lets do that......

  • when's the last time another team had a player sent off for "letter of the law" delay of play? Oh we get it X2 (Rice and Trossard from the same ref).
  • when's the last time another team had a player sent off for 2 bookable offenses in the same play?
  • when's the last time another team had a player throttled on the ground, no card
  • when's the last time another team had a player have fingers shoved up his bum by an opposition player, no card?
  • when's the last time another other team had a player sent off 10 yards from their own box for a professional foul
  • when's the last time another team avoided a red card because the ref 'he didn't want to ruin the game"

8 reds in 55 Arsenal games (5 since 2022).
0 reds in 50 Man City games.

Which ref copped a £20,000 bag for reffing 1 match in Abu Dhabi 2023......

Argue all you want that's there's no Oliver conspiracy, but its clear as day that he's reffing Arsenal differently to every other ****ing club.

You can buy a US President and campaigners want to pretend you can't do the same to a premier league ref?

****ing jog on.

Jorhinho’s first penalty for Arsenal I believe? Taken nicely.

Unnecessary trailing leg from their defender I felt, Partey wasn’t not getting through to that ball. Once the foul was given there wasn’t enough to overturn that. 1-1.
