You know if Chelsea lose to Liverpool, we could finish 3rd ...

Assuming we beat Newcastle, we'd only be 2 pts behind.

Chelsea will have 2 tough games against relegation battlers - Norwich home and Cardiff away.

And with all the talk of resting players and a possible CL final coming up - it may be very possible.

And if Everton keep winning there is a danger they slip to 5th.
They should win both of those last two games though in reality.

I think the 'resting' comment is just more smoke and mirrors from Mourinho. They have the squad depth to challenge on both fronts. In fact I'm actually expecting them to win at Anfield this Sunday.

We should be beating Newcastle and hopefully get a bit more breathing room in 4th. Pardew is such a tosser. I think he's my most despised manager since Pulis at Stoke.

I believe that was reported at the time we signed him? Something about Levy delaying the Bale deal as long as possible to try and ensure we didn't have enough time to swoop for Ozil.

So there are noises that both Giroud and Poldi could be off in the window.

I highly doubt Giroud would leave but I can see Poldi going back to Cologne.

If he does go I think we'd be pushing very hard to bring in another German like Draxler or Reus.

Podolksi would be the more likely of the pair to leave, than Giroud.

Giroud would not be keen on us getting a new striker in though, as he's said a few times this season. But really we need to, not to compete with him, but an actual genuine world class one. Giroud would be quality back up. And loan Sanogo out.

And heck Bendtner off when his contract finally runs out.

Hasn't Ollie been told by the wife to get back to France ? After his little dalliance ?

I recall reading something along these lines, that she's moving back to France regardless of where he's playing football. Never know what to believe in the tabloids though.

But yeah, he's got himself to blame for that after his behavior a few months ago.

Who needs a new striker when we have the best one in the league?

LOL @ Jenko - "Carlamberlain"

It was that or get nothing for them, as both RvP and Nasri refused to deal with anyone else - RvP in particular rejected bigger personal terms from City

Like you should care if we get nothing for them. Not like we ever used the cash in the window they left.

If we forced RvP to stay one more season, we may have won the league considering how shit everybody else was.

I sure am. Wenger confirmed it today in his press conference. Says it's "minor" but what does minor mean when it comes to Diaby? 5 months maybe.

God damn. As much as I like the guy and I feel sorry for him, we really could free up a spot and out his wages towards someone else.

I'm absolutely shattered for him because I honestly believe he could be something special.

He will probably play out his contract and then retire.
His broken leg was so bad I dont think he had a chance. Due to the injury he had to change how he ran which has caused all his muscle issues.

Diaby is injured again. Did his groin in the u/21 game.
poor guy could never catch a break, he's gotta be moved on though, it's a shame because he looked like he would have been a pretty decent player too you could see the talent was there when he could get on the pitch.

Yes NTR I've read that he's been donating his wages for a while to charity. Sounds commendable but no idea if accurate or not. He's been on £55k a week for last three to four seasons, despite playing a handful of games in that time.
