Congratulations WCE.

A number of times this season I have been vocal on the WCE game day threads getting stuck in about the umpiring favouring the Coasters at home. Today I thought the Eagles were given a really rough ride from the umps. Mainly it was the stuff that didn't get called that was really obvious. The Eagles had to get it done the hard way and they did it. Enjoy the celebrations you lot. You did it without the umpires!!! Seriously, it was a great win.

What a game! Have to admit, I wasn't confident after we conceded 5 goals. I've been an Eagles supporter from the start and I believe this is our greatest season ever, just from the pure adversity of losing Nic, losing JK for a while, losing Gaff and then Shep, conceding 5 goals and *still* walking away champs. UP THE BLOODY COASTERS!

PS Collingwood were the greatest adversary we've faced, even with how tough Sydney were. Their season narrative was the same as ours until today. Commiserations and so much respect for the Pies.

Schofield and Barass had what I've been describing as a Stratton game for years, absolutely massive but oddly won't get a vote for best on ground though of course Shuey was deserving. Schofield in particular made some absolutely massive saves for you when at a disadvantage.
