Also interesting:

Standing vertical jump

YearScore (cm)Name
2008 78 Nic Naitanui (West Coast)
2011 78 Elliott Yeo (Brisbane Lions)
2010 75 Brad Harvey (Brisbane Lions)
2008 74 Shaun McKernan (Adelaide Crows)
2007 73 Patrick Dangerfield (Adelaide Crows)

Didn't mean much for Harvey or McKernan ;)

One club is doing to be seriously pissed if we trade in Yeo. Lions will want more than our second rounder, we here want to give third round+

I hope to hell we are on the good side of this one.

We might want to show a little more humility than is being displayed in this thread. The shoe could easily be on the other foot one day.

It has been in the past (Ebert, Stevens, Judd) and no doubt will be in the future.

I'm sure the powers that be will be aware of the pitfalls and will take a reasonable position. The club's not exactly known for being unreasonable to deal with in trade week.

For us plebs, on the other hand, it won't make the slightest bit of difference what position we take so we can be as bullish as we like :D

I think some people are getting carried away with regard to Yeo's ability.

Really???

Surely you jest, sounds like something personal here, have you actually seem him play?
Brisbane have played him out of position for 2 years as he is a midfielder & was drafted as that, they have obviously been teaching him a defensive side to his game! What a bonus for us if that's the case! a 190cm super quick midfielder with a great leap & mark, quick hands, confident under pressure, who can now play defence & play it quite well.
Which other players that you have mentioned have actually been able to shut down the likes of...
Motlop (twice this year)
Zaharakis
Wingard
Grant
Saad
Howe
& a few more...not bad for a 19 year old midfielder learning the ropes of a defender
I think the 1st mistake we made was not drafting him in 2011, in which we took Newman & McGinnis...

Bad mistake not to do a trade IMO

Welcome to the board Elliott.

Actually Sharkie 10 is correct. Yeo's junior years were in the midfield and he has the skills to play there and would certainly add something to WC's midfield rotation - namely size, speed, and foot skills. No doubt he is one of the few from that draft who has exceeded his draft position.

He is probably worth WC's 2nd rounder but unfortunately for Lions I see them receiving WC's 3rd round pick.

This situation at Brisbane is disconcerting - if they lose as many players as is rumoured then they are in serious trouble for many years.

Hopefully that means Rich is leaving, james polkinghorne is leaving as well

Sorry to intrude, but the way the Lions are looking for players leaving, Id expect us to be bent over in this trade and you guys to walk away with Yeo for pick 60 or something.

This whole trade month is going to stink so much for us it isnt funny anymore.

And please, PLEASE, play him more than Dalziel. He is 10 times the player Dal is.

This is just from 2012:

And this is his leap:

Someones obviously angry.

You confuse disappointment with anger.

I enjoyed Dalziel when he was at Brisbane, but hes struggled to break into your side.

I hope Yeo doesnt suffer the same fate, as much as I hate the fact hes asked to leave.

If he does head West, he will have to work hard to cement a spot in the side tho...

Yeo's footskills were very average as an u18 player, which is why he didn't go so high in the draft. I think they have improved a lot since drafted but still not special. I'm not sure he really improves the skills of the team as you suggest but will still be a solid pickup.
