At this stage the mad leftie is a bit of a myth. I mean they might exist somewhere but does anyone really encounter them that much?


We keep hearing about these crazies and seeing stuff on the internet but does anyone here actually know and work with abundances of these people?


We all can point to right wing conservatives pretty easily in our lives personally, rather than something we hear about. Whether in our families or workplace. Couldn’t swing a cat in an office without hitting half a dozen people who either openly celebrate being right wing conservative, or at least you know they’re not trying too hard to hide their opinions cause “you can’t say anything in this bloody country anymore”.

I mean same sex marriage just became legal here 7 years ago and only by 60 or so percent so just squeeked in lol. nearly half the country said **** you, you don’t deserve the same human rights.


How many people here really know hardcore lefties. Could look up from their work desk and spot several? Have a bunch of them in their family?

It’s really over exaggerated. It would be a tiny tiny minority. 40% of this country voted against same sex marriage. Anyone imagine a referendum with a real “left idea” (what would that be anyway lol) getting up by a significant margin? Getting anywhere? Even getting off the ground?


And we see people barely left of centre called crazy lefties

The opposite of gays are subhuman, women should be subservient , xenophobia and corporations before disposable workforce isn’t -

hey we should have stronger regulations regarding positions of power ..





As always , the first step in controlling people is make them scared of something that doesn’t exist.

Well yeah, the people that glue themselves to roads and topple statues of historical figures generally don't have jobs so no surprises you don't encounter many in the office space.

We can agree and disagree on politics just like every other topic, but consistently creating personal attacks on me based on what happened on Wednesday is an absolute no-go, and you should be ashamed of yourselves that you created this. I thought a key pillar of right wing philosophy was personal responsibility? As in, don't be a goose and expect others to be responsible for you.

Seems pretty left wing to expect strangers to sympathise with someone for events that are entirely of their making.

Krispy, I can only suggest taking a breather and getting away from BigFooty for a bit. Try to remember that this is the internet, it's not real life. You're engaging with strangers on a forum and there's a level of callousness that can come with that. If you struggle with that then maybe engaging in heated online political debates isn't for you.
