Celebrities/performers have always been openly supportive of the Democrats ever since I can remember. People supposedly rebelling against it is just another theory thrown in the mix as to why that oaf got elected.

Trumps superpower is his ability to stay on message despite all evidence to the contrary and his utter shamelessness. He brags repeatedly about acing a cognitive test 5 years ago, as if that is something to be boastful about. Most politicians would never even mention it, or be afraid to mention it because it would show them up as foolish. But not him. I genuinely believe he is an utter moron who has fallen upwards his entire life despite repeated failures, but because he has money people defer to him. He is the powerfuls useful idiot, and it will be interesting to see if his tariff plan materializes. I lean towards the fact that he really does not know how tariffs work, such is my low opinion of his intelligence, and wonder if the financial elite will go along with it. The working class will pay more, and for American exporters it will be a disaster.

I don't really see what he offers the working class other than the fact he is something different. His whole platform was basically immigrants were the cause of every problem. And I'm sure within a short period of time he will declare he has made America great again, with the greatest economy in history. No evidence required, just his proclamation.

Democrats are just useless. They need to just say "we believe in equality" and that be it, forget all of this nonsense about being there to protect the bottom 1% of society. It's obvious the working class simply does not care, and are quite happy to be the bully after being punched on for years.

But I just can't see someone like Trump coming along again in 4 years time. Future Republicans will try and emulate him but will be too smart and not genuine, and people will see that.
