I was going to be nice, but from the moment the personal attacks came in, it was fair game.

All this teaches us is that we can’t have opinions that differ from the popular belief in here.

You can’t have different opinions, have a debate, but leave the situation with mutual respect for one another.

Nobody will remember or care about anyone else's politics on this board. There are several prominent posters who have very different political views than what I do and we've been posting about Port in harmony for a decade or more. There are plenty of posters on this board over the moon that Trump won. Nobody will remember or care.

But everyone will remember that you specifically were a stupid baby posting the most brainworm addled "own the libs" shit imaginable and everyone's mental image of you is now a 14yo slow kid who lives with his parents. Even the other Trump supporters.

No people will just remember me stirring the pot after people attack me for supporting Trump.

If the attacks hadn’t happened, maybe the situation would have differed.

People’s true colours have come out, and god, it’s ugly.

I come out of this fine other people on here who have a lot of soul searching to do, but what do they do because they think they are the bee knees and don’t realise the shit stinks the same way as everyone else.

It's all of the above. Racism, sexism, poor campaign, poor candidate (tied to Biden's legacy). The latter two, IMO, much more consequential, but you can't discount the first two completely. If Biden's VC had been a white dude, who'd done an average at best job as VC, they'd still likely have lost, but it'd have been a lot closer.
