Absolutely
Also held onto Biden far to late into the campaign calendar as well, hate to say it but probably should of backed a male candidate as well

Hindsight is always 20:20 and it’s easy to say now but those 3 have definitely come back to haunt them
Who would have thought that the Democrats following a line of political succession to nominate their preferred candidate would backfire again, instead of letting voters choose the nominee?

"We're serious. Trump is the biggest threat to democracy we've ever seen. No, we will not let you choose a candidate. Here's the oldest man in the world with soup for brains."

Hard to argue with this... This is exactly what happened.

They really lost 2024 when biden won it in 2020.
They have 2 years to regroup and reset their party to stop being self serving arrogant campaigners.

It doesn’t surprise me Trump has come back so strong.

There are so many issues around the world that have been caused by the soft left (whether real or perceived). This may actually be the perfect time for Trump as a lot of Europeans are starting to turn right because of mass migration. Interesting times ahead…

Not sure its a turn to the right but alot of changes in Government. The UK just went from right to left.

The USA needed Bernie, but the Democratic party couldn't say no to Hillary who has the charisma of a damp rock. They failed themselves in 2016.

Agreed. Too many donors interests handed the nomination to Hillary. He would have been far more of an effective leader than her, Biden and Harris who were rammed down people's throats via the corporations.

Ditto.
I prefer not to comment on politics - particularly overseas when we don’t have day to day visibility on the state of the country, however I will make an exception.

Trump is brash, arrogant, rude and can be seen as unlikeable, however if people vote on politics not personality, Trump had to get back in. From what I can see, the economy was better, immigration under control, he implemented tariffs on imports to keep mfg in the country and the world was generally safer with less international wars.

Focus on the job not the person and he had to win. Kamala appeared to be parachuted into the role to break glass ceilings- not because she was the best person for the job.
