Once again, please provide evidence of vaccine mandates that were “relaxed” starting in November and December 2021.
You said it, not me.
Either provide the evidence or retract the comment. It’s not hard.
This changed when the Omicron variant arrived in Nov-Dec 2021. Vaccination policies across government and private businesses were rightfully relaxed from this point on. I agree with those arguing this should have happened more quickly in some settings once the data became available.
Following the emergence of Omicron and evidence that vaccines were no longer reliably stopping transmission, vaccine mandates should have been lifted, with the exception of those aligned with existing health and aged care workforce immunisation policies (which should refer to serological evidence of immunity, this could be vaccine or infection acquired).
If any governments or private businesses still have these mandates in place then it’s not something I agree with.
The take away is that people were censored, threatened and ridiculed for the mere suggestion of it.
A common theme on all things Covid was that lots of “conspiracy theories” turned out to be true.
The result is a huge loss of trust among the general public.
That’s largely because of people like you. Just so you’re aware.
Omicron variant of COVID first known to science on 24 November 2021.
Health departments collected real world data over the following weeks and by the end of the year there was enough evidence to say with confidence that vaccines were no longer reliably stopping transmission of this variant.
From this point on, in South Australia:
You're welcome to search my posting history, I've been consistent in saying what governments and private businesses should have been doing during this period.
- The first round of COVID vaccine mandates that I'm aware were dropped in SA were SAPOL on 7 March 2022 (3 months later), and public transport and education workers on 30 March (4 months later). I'm not going to look up specific policies for every single other government agency and private business but from my recollection while others followed suit over the coming months I agree some should have been a lot quicker with this.
- The state government canned its Emergency Management Act powers in May 2024 (6 months later), and with this their ability to compel private businesses to do anything or for employers to terminate contracts on the grounds of refusal to be vaccinated against COVID.
I'm more than happy to stand by this, and to discuss/debate how quickly these policies should have been lifted.
You seem bizarrely wedded to this idea that I am obliged to agree with (and apparently be held accountable for) every single decision related to COVID by every government and private business in every country on Earth for the past 5 years. Whether there were inconsistencies in appetite for risk by decision makers or influence of politics across the myriad of governments here and around the world is irrelevant to my own personal opinions on what should/shouldn't have happened.
I'm not particularly interested in engaging with your obsession over the fact that all restrictions were not lifted on day 1 of the pandemic with 0% vaccination coverage (notwithstanding that this would have caused even greater damage to our economy and healthcare systems, and killed thousands of Australians), and determination to spend the rest of your life fighting anyone who doesn't share this and your other delusional fringe ideologies on COVID. Good luck with this.

WOW...that changed fast
Funny, he also proposed this
how many times do you guys need to be metaphorically bashed around the head to wake up from your delusion - EVERYTHING you guys have predicted has fallen apart and your team has proven to be that toxic for the states that the people elected the guy your side tried to impeach, bankrupt, jail and then assassinate.I reckon Trumpit will be as bad for the US as Brexit was for the UK. And that’s what happens when you let morons make the decisions.
He was sharp as a tack!
Hey eagleboy, theses lunatics have got the failed biden regimes horror policies that trashed not just America at home but destabilised the world at the same time tied around their necks forever...every...stinking...last...one...of....these nation wrecking policiesHas the CCP stopped supplying your propaganda and told you to find your own info.
Trump was sworn in a week ago and the price of eggs has not fallen.
The end of the world is happening.
Any chance the price is an overflow part of the Biden regimes incompetence.
Trump has not ended the war day one,
Has not brought down inflation day one,
Has not reduced the price of eggs day one,
Spewed BS about the LA water system,
Has put multiple incompetent DEIs into his administration,
Has released hundreds of his violent mob back into the community,
Has annoyed most of his allies
and is about to put the US in a massive tail spin
The little baby was offended by a Bishop asking him to show Christian values
And is an even bigger laughing stock than last time.
Not a bad effort for one week
What a winner.
