Without looking at recent news articles, I say we are in for another 4 years of Trump

I don't like the guy but in reality his first 4 years was no better or worse than any other US president in the last half century. The country has major issues but many are a state issue or bill of rights issue.........neither a president can resolve.

Unfortunately the US will get the president they deserve

"Mr Trump, what do you think about sacking Hinkley?"

Happy Donald Trump GIF by Team Trump

Wow.

Rightly or wrongly, the Dems can never run with a female candidate ever again.

All bets off for what we know about political campaigns going forward — Ted Bundy could run and win as long as he wholly committed to being a lying arseh*le.

I think NC is the only 'swing state' declared so far - it's gone to Trump.
Trump has won in North Carolina and is very likely to take Georgia.

To win, Harris will probably need to take all of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin — but Trump has an advantage in all three.

Still early days but Trump has the clear lead in becoming the next President imho.

Ohh the humanity

Republicans have taken the Senate too. It's Demexit

Harris was parachuted in as the candidate without a proper Democratic Party primary campaign. She was always up against it given that she was tied to the Biden administration who was on the nose, and her biggest role in the administration was sorting out the border issues, which she failed at miserably.

Running a 2nd campaign on the premise of "I'm not Donald Trump" and saying that a vote for Harris is a vote for change was always a slim chance at best to win given what we saw 4 years ago in combination with the fact of her current role as VP.

A woman will one day lead the US, but I hope for sure they are competent and excel in the role given what a cultural step it will be.

And republicans have already flipped the Senate and taken back control there. Scary times ahead.

Has to be said tho - the democrats are ****ing useless - four years to prepare for this and they completely bottled it. Absolute disaster for democracy.

Amazing how people will vote against their own interests when presented with an invisible enemy.

Exactly. This. Kamala is way to weak and stupid to ever take office. Through her campaign she was to obsessed about making it we can’t have Trump.

Her campaign wasn’t about targeting key issues like open borders, cost of living, etc.

Her campaign should of been about targeting these key issues. People need reassurance with the borders and relief with everyday necessities.

The Biden/Harris administration has been one of the worst administration in quite sometime.

The border stuff is bullsh¡t though.

They had a bipartisan bill, drawn up and agreed by both sides, ready to pump zillions into border security (manpower, and enhanced tech solutions), and Trump told the elected Republicans to torpedo it so he could campaign on it.

How else does she “fix” it under the circumstances?

Magic?

It’s difficult when that polity exists in an alternate reality.

Their stock market is at record highs, inflation has decreased quicker than in any western democracy, their economy recovered quicker than in any western democracy, their unemployment is at record lows, and Trump’s “tariffs!” cudgel will do nothing but drive inflation and risk further economic and geopolitical issues with China (the tit-for-tat move by Beijing decimated the American soybean industry last time).

A woman will one day lead the US, but I hope for sure they are competent and excel in the role given what a cultural step it will be.

If a woman can’t get elected twice against Donald “grab’em on the pussy/I got rid of Roe vs. Wade!” Trump after what happened on January 6, then I don’t think it will matter who they put up against a bloke, honestly.

This sounds cut and pasted from an alt-right algorithm, honestly.
