Hi Everyone,
I'm an American who is obsessed with Aussie footy and consider this to be a dreamlife community- footy chat 24/7! This was the season I was making my debut with SuperCoach and am hopeful to still learn and grow with all of that. Couldn't be more excited that footy will be back in 25 days and am so ready to catch more games!

Do you have a team to support in the AFL?
Iv you don’t have a club to support try supporting my club North Melbourne as we need as much support as possible.
We are have a small supporter base but we do have some well known supporters especially from the USA with probably the best known supporters of our club in Vince McMahon of the WWE and Woody Harrelson from the movies and TV show - Cheers.

Hey there, gotta love Glenn Archer and that Shinboner Spirit! I'm an Essendon supporter though (sorry!), and didn't realize Vince and Woody watched AFL!

Both came to Australia Vince to promote WWE and Woody Harrelson to make a movie Thin Red Line
Also Pink iv been told is a North Supporter and her and her husband love our Australian Beer VB also we have Elle McPherson as a supporter but the only well know Essendon supporter I know is Mel Gibson
 
Wow had no clue, great supporters! Also adore Pink. Touché with Mel Gibson, haha. Certainly is quite the Big Footy welcome! I only know of Conan O'Brien supporting the Swans, Natalie Portman with the Dees, and Chris Hemsworth as a Doggies supporter.

And Eric Bana is a Saint Kilda tragic. Welcome. Personally I am a North Melbourne (Kangaroos) sufferer. 👍

Nice! And thanks, appreciate the welcome. Would just like to point out that Ben Simmons, Dante Exum and Andrew Bogut are all Team Essendon😜 Just so ready for season to be back! And happy to have this community for chat.
 
You ever considered having a run around? The New York Magpies have one of the strongest teams (but cater for all experience and skill level) in the USAFL. As an Aussie living here in the States (but not NYC), it's a wonderful good time.
 
I recently learned about them and was planning to watch a practice in March before life got cancelled! Still plan to support but probably won't play, I would rather spectate in this case 🙃

Yes to this! I meant actual newbie to Big Footy and this community. Love meeting other Americans into the sport!

Hello, and welcome! Nice to see another from the USA on here. :D I'm originally from Pittsburgh, PA. Met an Australian guy and moved here to be with him. And...there are kangaroos! LOL 💚

I fell in love with the game years ago one night when I couldn't sleep. Found this odd game on TV that looked like it had no rules! I've been hooked ever since. It is an utterly fascinating game. To me, the other sports pale in comparison for stamina and athleticism (besides hockey), not to mention the skill.

You're into SuperCoach! My husband is crazy with it - he has so many teams. LOL

I'm glad the AFL is going to be starting soon. I've missed it so much!
