These are some of my reasons from afar?

Moral and intellectual superiority.
Blaming racism, misogyny, and the stupidity of the voters for the loss.
Elitism.
In this election, calling their opponent Hitler and referring to his supporters as nazis.
Not appealing to their base as they take them for granted.
Possibly not giving a **** about the result as long as the funds keep coming in.

I mean... how else would you characterise people who actively vote against their own interests? Its not all of Trump's vote but its a fair proportion.

"In this election, calling their opponent Hitler and referring to his supporters as nazis" - didn't seem to do Trump any damage calling his opponent a marxist/communist scum and their supporters radical leftists. Trump was the one who normalised those sort of attacks from 2016 onward, just seems like its part of the furniture in US politics now.

I think you may be overreacting just a tad on the rationale for the loss (not on your own there). Which is pretty much the same as happens every election - I remember plenty of takes about the end of Trump and Trumpism from 2020, for example.

There's no overreaction. I gave my opinion based on what I see from this election backwards. Could be right, could be wrong, could be somewhere in the middle.

You would think after a loss that a bit on introspection would be on the cards, but I believe in the possibility that they don't give a **** as long as the funds keep rolling in.

Australia is primed and ready for a MAGA movement.

Many of us are organising at a grass roots level to mainstream the idea.

The best part is Albanese is self destructing and is going to hand us the keys to the city with the misinformation bill.

Can you imagine a right wing government with a misinformation bill in their hot little hands?

Labor is going to lose an entire generation with the social media age cut off.

As the left dominates social media the age cut off will take away their online access to vulnerable young kids who they brainwash and radicalise. The LOL part is the right will benefit, while the kids will blame the left for taking away their Snapchat.

If the right wing can grab power they could turn out the lefts lights permanently.

At this stage we aren't looking at specifically walking back same sex marriage. It's not a priority. (At some stage in the campaign I will go into depth on why it isn't a priority.)

Of course, once we get into power we will look very closely at the bloated public service.

I think some people have woken up after treatment during covid and they will support minor parties.

but Coalition is no better than Labor in the MAD bill.

Australia on a pathway like Canada and UK, not the US.

If Dutton as much as most people loathe him, got up and said he would reduce immigration to sustainable levels (prior year building stock) and throw out digital ID, MAD Bill and give kids social media/ youtube back then he would win majority govt.
If he said could reduce electricity prices and we would burn our own coal instead of shipping it to china to burn , not sure many would like it as still brainwashed by the climate change carbon agenda that is peddled in schools.

With China, India, US withdrawing from Paris agreement 3 big polluters, make sense for australia to follow donalds lead. won't happen under Albo.

Albo likely wins minority govt with Greens/ Teals.

Although looking at queensland Greens are a bit on the nose, which I dont mind, as they are pushing their other agendas more than the environment.

less carbon taxes, more planting trees, cleaning up water, reducing plastics usage.
