I never understood why they picked Harris in the first place as the VP.

She was so unpopular even among Democrats that she withdrew before the Democrat primaries even began.

Why they thought she would win others over when she never won other Democrats over boggles the mind.

Andrew Yang would have been a much better option at the time. He was good at connecting with both sides IMO.

Previous acquired donations could only be spent by the Biden/Harris campaign. Was something like 250 million.

Democrats are planning for AOC to run for 2028 presidency.
Electoral suicide.

I'd expect a blander, Newsom-type figure to emerge. Blandness won after the craziness of the first Trump term and he's turning the crazy up to 11 for his next term.

Yep its all about the money.

They should have pulled Biden earlier. or just given up on losing the 600 million.

400 million with Josh Shapiro or Gavin Newsom would be better than kamala with 1 Billion

Newsom is only popular in California and that has been waning.

He would get wrecked worse than Harris outside of his bubble.

Shapiro would work better with independents. He was lucky not to get tainted with the Harris run.

She inherited his campaign funds.

Basically whatever Biden had, (240 million approx) roles back to the DNC to use on their next ticket.

I'm talking about the Democrat 2020 run off.

She ran out of funds in 2020. She was up against Biden then.

I don't disagree that she was wildly unpopular. But they had money to launder. Shits more important.
I think the question was why was she VP in the first place due to lack of popularity in the 2020 presidential primary. On that point, they rarely ever select a competitive candidate, it's always a younger up and comer and oddly her performance was so bad that she was therefore in the range to be selected as VP. The reason why she was then selected were the same policies she ran on - west-coast influence, female (and female rights), person of colour etc - all made her suitable for the VP pick. Pity she was so well regarded, if you catch my jist.
